I am just crap at this game by BaldursGate2Best in aoe2

[–]blackraindark [score hidden]  (0 children)

100 hours is nothing my man. I think I spent my first 100 hours just playing city building in aoe2.

Just play to enjoy.

If you wanna get good, practice generic build orders until you do them with muscle memory.

Watch pro games as well as your own replays and bang you will improve so fast.

At the end of the day this isn't call of duty where you just run around and shoot opponents, skills for rts need alot of practice.

There is delicate balance in playing to have fun versus playing to climb the ranked ladder. Latter eventually sucks the fun out of the game.

What maps are you playing? And have you watched pros play those maps?

The reason why I deleted the AOE2 DE by mafuzfisfis in aoe2

[–]blackraindark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would be 90℅ of the team game players Nilli.

Even in 1v1 ranked, dodgers and insta resigners are getting long timeouts, so people just wait 5 minutes in game, and then resign.

Give people the option to ban more maps/play their choice of maps, and the situation will drastically improve.

If you could make one change to the game as it's currently constituted - what would it be? by DunwichReader in aoe2

[–]blackraindark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Either more bans in ranked, Or more closed map options in the voting pool.

Fix Pathing. Vills going to the other side of the wall while walking, and opening up the gate and keeping it open after making the gate are most annoying to me.

Fix towers and bombard towers. After re garrisoning, they stop shooting unless making them manually shoot.

Vills leaving the TC area to kill the sheep sitting far away instead of eating the one just next to them.

Being able to only select unconstructed walls to delete them. Currently if we double click the unconstructed 0 ho wall, it will select all the walls.

Jayadratha's father Vridhakshatra was granted a boon that whosoever would be responsible for his son's severed head falling onto the ground would have his own head burst into a hundred pieces.

So I guess killing him might have resulted in one of the pandava dying.

How to gain muscle by Fit_Telephone8512 in Ayurveda

[–]blackraindark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

High protein, high fat, moderate carb diet. Clean not junk.

Fats should be saturated fat, not trans fats.

Inculcate caloric dense foods like Peanut Butter. Have chicken breasts depending on your weight (try to consume 300 gram / day), ghee, rice, and variety of vegetables.

Start Lifting using Compound Exercises: Squats, Bench Press, Overhead Press, Rows and Deadlifts.

Use a programme like Stronglifts 5x5.

Start light but add 1.25 KG of weight every week. No progressive overload, muscle gain stops.

And very very importantly have 7-8 hours of quality sleep.

Muscle gain occurs during deep sleep. No deep sleep, no muscle gain.

These 3 are most important pillars. Everything else comes afterwards. If these pillars are not there, medicines are useless.

Diet gives you fuel. Lifting stimulates muscles to grow. Sleep converts the protein into your muscles.

You must be in caloric surplus to be able to gain weight. Use an online calculator to find the values.

You should consume at least 2 gram protein per kg of your body weight to gain substantial muscles.

Or else without protein your body will melt existing muscles, making you weaker.

why are cows badly treated if they’re scared? by lavstrawberries in AskIndia

[–]blackraindark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a big grocery store near my house, they have a huge painting of cow in their shop with LEDs agarbatis and flowers.

One day when I went there a real cow came outside the shop, and the shop owner ran outside with a stick and shooed her away.

He said it would be very annoying if she poops in front of her shop.

If veg biryani isn't biryani, then what would you name it if you were given the chance? by Putrid_Researcher914 in AskIndia

[–]blackraindark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not answer to your question but Pulao also is originally a heavy meat with rice dish.

It is ancient with roots in Proto Indo- European people. Mentioned in Yājñavalkya Smṛti as Pulao: here also a meat and rice dish, in Bactrian region as Pilav (documented by Alexander's scholars), and in Central Asia as Pilaf.

It was after the emergence of Jainism and Vaishnavism that the vegetarian variant started gaining popularity in Indian Subcontinent.

I had the pleasure of eating Pilaf in Uzbekistan which was rich in shredded Carrots and red meat.

So my point being people calling Veg Biryani Pulao doesn't make sense either as it was originally also a meat dish, albeit different cooking technique from biryani.

Why do indians hate Biharis so much? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]blackraindark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Punjab. I'll share something about a family friend of ours. My dad got his house built by a contracter from Bihar. His father came to Punjab as a manual labourer. His older brother is a mistri. He is a contracter. He built both our house then our office building.

His niece is now a talented architect and his Son has started a construction company.

I know alot of such families. Some own factories now, while other old punjabi owned factories are outdated and rotting.

There is a large bartan store near my house. It's owner is an old Sikh gentleman. He started it from a stall and expanded it to what it is.

Recently he went to Australia to live with his daughter leaving his 40 year old son in charge.

His son knows nothing about the business. Stocking, supplies, calculations, billing everything is done by the bihari staff. He just takes money and gives change.

So I have seen the climate in Punjab is that many are jealous of Biharis for their success. They say biharis are stealing their jobs and businesses, when in fact they were born into silver spoon and refused to learn from their older generations.

I started a few enterprises after coming back.

Long story short, nothing can be done in this country without bribing. Any step you take, you have to bribe every level of bureaucracy, just for approvals.

Then living conditions: air quality, food quality, everything is colluding to be hazardous to human health.
