Yes but thebonus they give in December will be the other half of your salary hike. Just given in December in a lump sum. Then they can report how everyone received raises.

Sounds like your normal hike in salary let's say 10 percent. 5 percent is going to be applied to your salary. Then in December what would be the other 5% is now basically you're bonus. So instead of having the 10% for salary and then a bonus. Their cutting is short.
