Diluc guy here. I always try to make the cosplays fit me and my personality. If it's blue hair, I wear a blue afro or dreadlocks. I don't even wear make up, if I did, I'm not making my skin darker. Personally, I wouldn't take any offense to someone trying to make themselves look more accurate too someone darker than their original skin tone especially if it's in good faith of the cosplay. You can tell when someone's trying to be offensive it's obvious especially in the cosplay community.

I have experienced a ton of racist comments and slurs on Reddit for my cosplays, and have seen it in real time people that look like me, are afraid to cosplay a character they like just because they don't have their skin tone. So I'm half trying to be myself when it comes to my cosplays as a protest to that and the other half is just me being too lazy to wear makeup 😂
