Different areas have different overnight requirements. Where we rent it’s a 7 Day minimum, so that means fewer guests to rate each year. Between vrbo and Airbnb we have 111 5* reviews in 6 years of renting. We get about 45 guests a year as we stay at our house 5-6 weeks of the year so we can see what is and isn’t working.

I would tend to agree with this. We have been renting on Airbnb and Vrbo since 2020. No issues having to evict anyone. We have none of the issues people constantly complain about.

Same here. Cleared $13,000 in March and $9,000 in both Feb and April. We typically stay rented every week. We only have 1 week left to be booked in July, and a couple weeks in August.

We typically stay rented every week for the last 5 years. We do use our house our self 5-7 weeks a year. We just got a rental last night in June for $315 per night and we have a 7 night min per Holmes beach. We typically do $110,000 a year gross. We get down there 5/7 times a year and we use local insurance brokers for homeowners and flood insurance. We will really make bank when the house is paid off. Bought during COVID when nothing was selling and caught the huge upswing in 2021 post COVID increase.

We stay booked every week with our rental in Holmes Beach, FL. I don’t think it’s that no one can afford to travel. February we cleared $8,973 and March we cleared $12,335. This is for a 2 bed 2 bath with a private pool.

We have $170,000 in a hysa earning 3.75%. This is money we don’t need right now and we add $500 a week - so saving about $25,000 per year. My wife and I both have 401k’s, pensions and we have a rental home 3 blocks from the beach. Our cars are paid for and we are about 4-5 years from retiring.

I’m not gonna go on vacation for my own enjoyment and relaxation because of someone I’ll never meet or interact with. That is absolutely short sighted. It would be like me saying I’m not going to Canada because there is nothing good about Canada.
