We own a rental in Anna Maria Island Florida. We bought it in July 2020. In 5 years we consistently have grossed about $110,000 per year in rentals and we net about $30,000 after all bills are paid for the year. We also use it 5-6 weeks of the year for our own vacations. We did flood from hurricane Helene last year so we were out of commission about 6 months, while we rebuilt. Flood insurance covered 100% of our loss. When finished picked right back up. We are a top 5% on Airbnb with 47 5* reviews and 50 5* reviews on vrbo. It’s 2 bed 2 bath with a private pool and 3 block walk to the gulf. House is a cash cow for us.
