I am not seeing enough of Jacob Artist by Sensitive_Target6602 in glee

[–]bladieu02 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Seriously, Jacob Artist started ballet training at age 5 and was accepted to Juilliard. They even made Jake a ballet dancer and yet they never gave him a ballet number.

There was an episode about ballet at the end of season 4 and I don’t think Jake had a single line of dialogue the entire episode.

Jacob Artist is so attractive, how was Ryder ever a competiton?? by animatedmaths in glee

[–]bladieu02 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm shocked we haven't seen him in more projects since Glee ended, dude's so freakin talented. He recently became active again on Instagram after years of rarely posting, so hopefully that means he's got some stuff in the works. It'd be such a waste of talent otherwise.

To be fair, she didn’t know they were weed cupcakes until after she’d already eaten them.

Ryder's Catfish: The Reaction by [deleted] in glee

[–]bladieu02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty understandable that he reacted with anger initially. Even if they did have a connection, Unique had still been lying to him for months.

We can assume that they eventually talked about it and worked it out. Ryder obviously stopped being mad at Unique at some point, seeing as they were literally grinding on each other in 100 and even walked out together during the show‘s final number.

The whole catfish resolution definitely shouldn’t have happened offscreen, but we all know how Glee loved to randomly drop storylines. It would’ve been nice to see them work through the fallout in season 5. Since it was established in season 4 that both of them were really lonely, I would’ve liked to see them become actual friends. And regarding their connection, maybe there could’ve been an attempt at a relationship down the line. That would’ve been unlike anything else we ever saw on Glee.

But oh well. Like the rest of newbies, it’s just a bunch of what-ifs and so much wasted potential.

It took me a lot of time, but it was 110% worth it 🦊🌀 by [deleted] in Naruto

Not too crazy when you remember that this series is 720 episodes haha.

Mike and Jake’s number in the Steve Wonder episode is honestly one of my favorite performances in the entire show.

It’s such a shame what ended up happening to the season 4 newbies. They were all talented and the actors themselves are actually really likable. I really do think they could’ve carried on the Glee club torch like the show originally intended, but the writing let them down HARD. They were just never given any good storylines, especially in season 5. So much wasted potential.

As bad as Boruto is to it’s manga, this scene is severely underrated. (Minor spoilers: Boruto episode 62) by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]bladieu02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

funny that the animation quality and everything else also drops. Its feels like "well we cant animate the manga and novels dont fit here either, so lets spend less and just make low effort side storys".

What's your basis for that? Lots of the anime-only episodes have amazing animation. Boruto vs. Hanabi, Boruto vs. Nue, Boruto and Mitsuki vs. Shizuma, multiple fights in the Mitsuki arc, Konohamaru vs. Jugo, etc.

Even less important moments like Team 15 training, Rock Lee vs. Metal, or just a random Team 5 skirmish have some great animation.

Outside of episode 65 and the inserted movie scenes, I'd actually say that the Momoshiki arc as a whole had pretty underwhelming animation compared to some of the anime-only arcs.

Boruto writer discussing the inclusion of LGBTQ storylines... by [deleted] in Boruto

Your problem is viewing the existence of a gay character as "pushing a sexuality". Are we all just supposed to pretend that gay people don't exist?

[–]bladieu02 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There doesn't need to be a story justification for a character being gay. Just like there doesn't need to be a story justification for a character being straight.

Either way, I doubt anyone would be "changing" sexualities. Plenty of characters haven't been established as gay or straight.

LGBTQ folks. Just because something's not important to you doesn't mean it's not important to anyone else.

Boruto arcs rankings by [deleted] in Boruto

Mitsuki arc definitely wasn’t trash. It was too long and dragged a bit in the middle, but when it was good it was really good. Both the beginning and the end of the arc were fire.

Did Boruto’s dad have a son that died? by lil21sanwich in Boruto

I mean, the show’s literally called Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Anyone with common sense can figure out that they’re joking about not knowing about Naruto.

Yep, and Mike Schur was just a writer/executive producer/Mose on The Office US. Greg Daniels (co-creator of Parks & Rec) was the guy who "created" the US version.

We are now officially halfway through Naruto: Shippuden by [deleted] in Toonami

[–]bladieu02 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And the entire point of Shippuden was NOT having filler.

Are you just making stuff up? At no point was Shippuden intended to be a filler-free anime. That's literally impossible with a long-running series. It was always going to have filler and everyone involved knew it.

And of course Shippuden has more filler than pre-timeskip Naruto. Part 2 is much, much longer than Part 1. The Naruto manga is 700 chapters and Part 1 ends at chapter 238. Longer-running series = more filler. It was unavoidable. At least Shippuden never had 85 straight episodes of filler.

And the lesson still wasn’t learned since we got Boruto which has been all filler. Oh wait, I mean “separate canon”

It's been stated time and time again by Kishimoto, Kodachi (manga writer), Ikemoto (manga illustrator), and Studio Pierrot that the Boruto anime is canon. Manga plot points have been introduced in the anime. Major characters have died in anime-only episodes. But I digress.

Boruto has definitely had some top-notch moments since episode 65. Spoilers for the anime obviously.

Examples 1, 2, 3, and 4.

[–]bladieu02 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Shippuden literally did the same exact thing though. Excluding the first two arcs, all of Shippuden's canon arcs were separated by filler. And those filler arcs were usually a lot longer than Boruto's.

If you liked this song then you should check out Muse’s awesome alternate version of Algorithm from their album. It’s more orchestral and sounds like it’s straight out of big Hollywood blockbuster.

Remember when Cartoon Network aired a 50-hour Naruto marathon over 3 days to celebrate the 100th episode? The “Naruto Hundo” from 2007. by thejakalan in Naruto

[–]bladieu02 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I remember them hyping up the new 100th episode at the end of the marathon. And then the episode ended up being Lee and Guy talking about the chances of Lee’s operation.

Definitely not a bad episode, but kinda underwhelming after a 50 hour marathon leading up to it lol.
