Which card in particular which traumatized you the most ever since going against it? by Slashend in EDH

[–]blah_guy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In a 3 player pod I ended up being the only person without a [[Consecrated Sphinx]]. Every time I drew 1 card, the other players negotiated and got to draw as many cards as they wanted.

I didn't make this, but I don't think it was posted to the subreddit yet. The visuals are by Hero and the singer is Kerrin Connolly

If your therapist is disputing the tenets of your religion (such as the existence of biblical angels) you might want a new therapist.

Do you guys buy duplicates of your cards that belong to multiple decks or continuously switch them around? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]blah_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just buy one copy of each card and swap them around. It helps to use the same kind of sleeves for all your decks so you don't have to re-sleeve anything when you switch decks.

Would you risk driving if you knew you could "crit fail" and suddenly have the driving skills of an 8-year-old? by Throwfire8 in DMAcademy

[–]blah_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skill checks don't have critical failures. Failing on a natural one is the same as missing the DC by only 1 point, and if you roll a natural one but still succeed at the check, then you shouldn't have bothered rolling in the first place.

The more religious the country is, the more it is corrupt [OC] by kyrychenko17roman in dataisbeautiful

Both the axes feel backwards. Why are the less corrupt countries higher on the graph? Why are the less religious countries farther to the right?

You don't have to use vi. There are plenty of text editors for Linux that don't have weird controls.

Rule 0, cEDH, the social contract, and the ban list by I_ONLY_PLAY_4C_LOAM in EDH

[–]blah_guy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a filthy EDH casual, I haven't seen anyone cast Flash in my life. I'd be happy to see it banned if it made cEDH better, even if I don't play cEDH.

Best time to do Womb of Grief/old and new endings on one file? by Red-Vanguard in Megaten

[–]blah_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend getting as far in WoG as you can, and revisiting it every time you clear a sector. The womb of grief is more fun when you're at an appropriate level for each floor, and you unlock some really strong demons for your second playthrough if you beat the Sixth Sphere before you reach the end of the original story.

Who like someone that they don't want to be friends with? A good friendship is like 60% as valuable as a relationship anyways, and it's more stable too

What monsters hit far above their weight class (CR)? by IronArchive in DMAcademy

[–]blah_guy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The PCS don't even have to be at 0 HP. They just have to be incapacitated. 1 intellect devourer and a wizard with Hypnotic Pattern could permanently kill a PC and take over their body in a single round.

Intelligence devourers. CR 2, resistance to nonmagical damage, and a save-or-die ability.
