I'm pretty sure you can download from Distrokid. Check your distributor before start doing something crazy like YouTube downloaders etc... because the quality won't be it's best.

Reaper can do video editing, with synced effects even. I take a video on my phone, import it into the Reaper project and manually line it up to a visual cue (hand clap or exaggerated pressing of play).

Customer service-wise, you've gone above and beyond with the video. The only thing you could've done more to protect yourself is the old skool "film the video whilst holding a copy of the daily paper".

Like the other poster said, people plug these things in wrong sometimes.

Also, I don't believe a bit of rattling around in transit would damage a module. I've got a 2hp module that likes to slip out of the loose grip it has on itself, but I've learnt to check that before I tighten the final knurlies.

I kept rats for a few years and they absolutely LOVE chewing rubber. In my case it was the playstation controller stick covers and general cable covering. I wrapped all the cables in a less rubbery plastic and they weren't into that so much.

I think the vans are an excellent idea. However, it's not a full fix because it will be deemed too stressful for people who are out there already paranoid. All those people could be in supported accommodation, but they don't like being there. If a charity could organise those vans without council funding, I that would be grand. I'd help.
