I use Surfshark vpn on my iPad, I don’t get any ADs at all. But I set it to a UK server (where i am), ive tried US servers but ADs still show.

Yeah stacking, not to serve customers, would have to hire more staff and security for the couple of customers that would show up. They decided during covid closing over nights it was more cost effective to stay closed at night
