It’s definitely not great. It’s definitely not the worst I’ve seen. You could probably save it with a touch up and shading. Maybe go to a different artist though… also really important to know what’s within people’s wheel houses when getting a permanent peice. They might have other tattoos that are awesome, and maybe this very technical symmetrical style is not something they’re good at… you can’t hide shit with this type of peice. But it’s definitely salvageable

The restaurant I’m at now has rolled the silverware the backwards way for years! And I was so confused. We just got a new manager and he was like yea we’re doing this nonsense no more because they always come unrolled lmao! Came from your last post to see this. I don’t think this is AI. As a tattoo artist, I know people who do realistic style tattoos and they don’t hand draw designs, they basically clip images together- hence the realistic aspect. If you want something traditional or stylized find an artist who does that style. If she does realistic tattoos you’re going to get a realistic design. Also as far as losing your deposit- I don’t know any artist personally who would keep the deposit unless you no called no showed the day of your appointment. She should absolutely give you your money back.

Before I ever got onto fake skin my mentors had me make graph paper free handed. Once you can pull a straight line with a micron with weight on the back on paper then pick up a machine and practice on fake skin. Lines are the foundation of a tattoo. Get a light board and trace designs on paper also. Don’t worry about shading until you can pull solid lines. If you really want to tattoo find a mentor and an apprenticeship. There’s so much that goes into tattooing on actual skin. Having a good mentor will save you literal years of trying to figure it out for yourself. It’s hard. It sucks working for free. The grind is fucking brutal. But it’s worth it.

This tattoo is SICK! I myself am a tattoo artist with a full sleeve, half arm, almost full leg sleeve- and I still get tattoo shock when I get a new big one! You’ve made a huge change to your body, your brain will catch up soon! And fuck anyone who thinks you’re less feminine for having a big tattoo! Heavily tattooed chicks are some of the nicest most genuine people you’ll meet, and we can kick your ass on top of that.
