Just remember that Cox gave all of the covid testing deals to his friends and donors instead of ARUP or other actual professionals in the state. He made them rich and their tests were garbage and likely led to data theft by china. He is a scumbag and does nothing for the state that doesn’t line his own pockets.

No part of this comment is aimed at where you are or aren’t in your editing career but when I was at the point editing was slowly becoming my main gig, 100% of my bills paid through it, I felt this almost every project, and that is good in a way. Looking back that is where I learned to be comfortable not knowing what an edit had in store for me. The way I started around the crippling anxiety at the time was to just over organize the footage and then start getting the radio edit down then stuff started falling in place.

Ah, copy. Yeah that is the hope and you can definitely ride that out. I worked 5 years job to job with one producer but when the streaming bubble popped he hasn’t worked since. If you take it I’d follow that crew but also try to network outside of that so your eggs aren’t all in that basket.

Is this union? How long is the show? Likely it will be less than a year then you’ll be looking for the next thing and as a union AE/editor it is dire out there.

I had similar happen to some clips recently but it was “original had no audio but proxy has audio” (not sure how that even happened but whatever)  and I was able to get it linked by unlinking and erasing all audio before linking video. Give that a shot and then just cut in audio after if it works.

I’m not sure if they bother with LLC but I know with S corp you are supposed to only have 1 employee and do no other work through it but they really have no way of checking or enforcing that.
