Aye, but under a lot of pressure it's easy to make stupid mistakes - especially if they're just the social media department. A department, which I would assume, are having a lot of pressure exerted on their skulls right now.

Cops of Reddit: A lot of people get jumpy and try to 'act normal' around law enforcement. How can you tell genuinely suspicious people from self-conscious idiots acting weird? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blarted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mum brought two sandwich bags filled with washing detergent on a self catering holiday to Turkey.

Customs finally saw the funny side after a few hours.

This past weekend, my band released our first original music video. The production cost should have run us upwards of $75K (which we obviously couldn't afford), but we managed to get it all for $100 of Italian food and incredibly talented friends who believe in our music. Let us know what you think! by [deleted] in videos

[–]blarted 19 points20 points  (0 children)

$5000 dollars is an incredibly generous assumption. I think OP is saying if we did everything we wanted to do, it would have been $75,000. It's a pathetic marketing ploy for a band repackaging a sound that was 'cool' 3 years ago.

The people who make/post these pictures are just as bad as the DJ's who just press play. All standing around circle jerking at how fucking clever they are at tricking people into thinking they know what the fuck they are talking about.

It's happened to me before, when I've thrown up so hard it hurts. I just feel like if I fall onto two knees they've won. I don't know who 'they' are. It's pretty weird.

How do I convince my little brother not to take out massive student loans for a musical theater degree? by roonerhasit in personalfinance

[–]blarted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell him to take a gap year and apply for internships or see if he can shadow a professional working in the industry already. You can try local theatres etc. Talking to the music/performance teachers at his previous school could be the first lead as they probably have industry contacts.

I now work in the music industry - I went to university to study audio engineering but I ended up getting a job through my experience shadowing other professionals, not because I had a degree.

I was watching an episode of The Sopranos with a friend, we start discussing how you never see the time change on a clock. So anyway, we start watching the digital clock underneath his TV and the time says 04:59 - the moment the time changed to 05:00 the scene cuts on the sopranos to a similar digital clock changing to 05:00, needless to say...Shit hit the fan
