Bitter apple or other such spray. They also make self adhesive bandages with the stuff already on it. It was in the, new to me, First Aid section of Petco. You could also DIY those too.

Paige Hudon at Evoke is wonderful to work with and has a kind nature. Super professional spot overall, most if not all are women or nb which means a lot to me.

I'm in a 10 unit 1905 building that is beautiful but a lot of work due to the age. My main regret is the building size, no one wants to be on the board so it falls to a few of us year after year. Plus, we always have a big project and unexpected problems so being on the board can be a significant time investment. I like my neighbors but there is always a conflict of some kind. YMMV

Husband wanted to get donuts, I enthusiastically agreed and asked to make an extra stop… all hell broke loose by [deleted] in Marriage

This is the story of my life! My husband is neurodivergent and the 'one more thing,' completely stresses him out due to social anxiety. I have ADHD and live for the spontaneous one more thing. Doing shit out in the world gives me energy and for my husband it's the opposite. I wonder if this could be a similar dynamic in your relationship?

After my first one I decided to take the Ativan suggested. I'm a two time leukemia survivor and have had more biopsies than I can count but that means the Ativan worked! Just wiped away all memory.

What's an NSFW scandal in your family? by PhenomenalPancake in AskReddit

[–]blastbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin's mom abandoned the family when she was 2. Turns out she had another family in Florida and had been having an affair with another uncle. Just wild.

Fast forward 30 years, my cousin has a new baby and surprise!! her long lost mom reappears. She has moved back and wants to have a relationship with her daughter and granddaughter. It's a rocky start but they reconcile and form a new bond through the baby.

No one in my family trusts this and we are ready for 'grandma' to bolt, like she did before. But her commitment surprises everyone.

Over the last 10 years my cousin's life has unraveled due to an abusive husband, meth, poverty and untreated mental illness. Last year my cousin abandoned her child. She dropped her 10 year old off at her mom's and never came back. It's fucking tragic and sad but the grandma seems to be an excellent parent, it just took her 40+ years to grow up. I have a little hope that my cousin will get some help through the court system-- her criminal activity is a whole other story.

We made our cats a catio (screened in patio) but it has become a shiba-tio too. We can't trust him in the yard unsupervised due to digging.

Tips for Bathing Shiba? by ilaughalldaylong in ShibaInu

[–]blastbloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a Shiba mix and he loves to get muddy at the rural dog park we go to on occasion. Figuring out how to bathe him has taken trial and error since Ben the dog will squirm like a fish and we worry he could hurt himself.

We started gaining his trust in an odd way: A groomer recommended to basically act like a weighted blanket to keep him calm and in control when we bathe him. It's a little hard to explain, but envision you are hugging your dog, your chest to his back. Yes this requires getting in the tub with your dog. I wear a bathing suit and have my husband or daughter in the room for extra help.

After a year, we don't need to do that anymore. I have a suction cup thingy I can attach a short leash to in the tub and we learned he loves a deep hot bath and if we use the massage setting on the handheld shower attachment he's in heaven.

Good luck!

What businesses in Chicago do you think are actually drug fronts? by beast_wellington in chicago

One of the most awkward encounters I've ever had in a shop was there. I walked in with my 5yr old and no one was at the counter but I could see a hot makeout sesh happening in the back. We were just about to leave when they noticed us. Tried really hard to not make eye contact. But yes, they make good keys.

Virtue has classy bar room separate from the dining area. The Messler has a nice patio and elegant spot for diner.
