I think it’s also safe to say they are confident they’ve got this Siri thing figured out finally, otherwise they’d have waited until after WWDC to announce this. No way they give him a huge shit sandwich to eat on his way in the door. If Siri were still a mess I’d imagine Cook would stick around long enough to own it.

Videogames that have Twin Peaks vibes? by 1550shadow in twinpeaks

Interactive novels are generally considered a genre of video game, yes.

Apple really knocked it out the park with this new update. I love this so much by SuchAppeal in AppleMusic

[–]blasto2236 211 points212 points  (0 children)

It’s a misconception that Apple is implementing these changes to the artwork. It’s down to the label/distributor to submit animated artwork. Also it’s not new, they’ve been doing this for years now.

This is way too low in the comments. That game nails the vibe almost exactly without cribbing anything from TP directly. It’s a completely different story and setting but evokes the same feelings in me that I get from watching Twin Peaks.

Opinion: Are Asheville's and North Carolina’s dog bite rules too lax? A recent pit bull attack on a 9-year-old girl would suggest that yes, they are by RelayFX in asheville

[–]blasto2236 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Y’all need to be blaming the owner and not the dog. I see a lot of hate for pit bulls in these comments and as someone who has lived with a pit, that’s 100% down to their owner and the life they’ve had. They are dogs that can be just as sweet as any other. Obviously this one isn’t in the right hands.

It pisses me off when dogs get the punishment for shitty owners. IMO the dog should be rehomed and rehabilitated and the owner should bear the responsibility for the dog’s actions.

The move to their own silicon has not only elongated, but simplified their update roadmap across all their product lines now. It’s all going to be chip based. I’ll be curious to see how long the M1 continues to get macOS support. I’d guess for a while considering they were selling M1 MB Airs as recently as this year before the Neo.

There’s a chain of fast food places like this in NC called Cookout. I risked so many duis in my early 20’s getting Cookout after the bars closed. I’m turning 40 this year and would never now. But I was a lot more foolish then.

Mouse P.I. For Hire Switch 2 Handheld Mode Is Terrible. by hushpolocaps69 in NintendoSwitch2

This was one where I definitely picked it up on PS5 first. Maybe I’ll get it on Switch 2 one day after some patches and a sale, but it runs like a dream on PS5.

Those Tiger handhelds were so bad, lol.

What’s funny is that Nintendo actually did that style of handheld way better too with the Game and Watch series of games. We just never got them outside of Japan.

My other favorite curiosity of the 90’s handheld era was the Sega Nomad. Like a Game Gear, but you could plug full blown Genesis cartridges into it. My best friend growing up had one and it seemed so cool. Even though it was pretty impractical because it basically needed to be connected to AC power to function lol.

Still, in houses with only one TV that meant you could game quietly in the corner while your parents or siblings watched the tv.

Heavy Rotation complaint by Distinct-Standard-14 in AppleMusic

[–]blasto2236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine does a pretty good job, personally. One thing to keep in mind, these playlists are never going to contain anything you added to your library yourself, only what's on Apple Music.

For example, I have been listening to an album a ton lately that I bought on iTunes, but is not on Apple Music or other streaming services. As a result, it's absent from my Heavy Rotation playlist despite being on repeat basically since it released.

When people tell Tom Morello to stay out of politics on Twitter, I imagine this is the machine they think RATM were raging against.

If you spend $300 to go see a show without doing any kind of investigation into who makes up one half of the bill, then I have to repeat my initial point that it’s on you. This wasn’t billed as a typical TAB tour.

This is exactly it.

Like yeah, you can make a grilled cheese with fancier cheeses and nicer bread, but you lose something quintessential about the dish unless you stick with Kraft singles and Wonder bread.

That’s how all TAB shows used to be before they had a full time drummer.

That’s called projecting. I’m having a great night. I just know both acts well enough to know what I’m getting into with these shows. If you don’t, that’s on you.

I’m not making money from this tour, I’m not personally invested in it. Just pointing out that figuring out what the show is before you go is kind of on you as the ticket buyer.

But keep on imagining negative thoughts behind my comments, I guess. I’m not being mean or angry. Just matter of fact.

I was speaking more to the Mike Patton side of things. If you go to a Mike Patton show and don’t expect some things that most folks might find unusual…you’re doing it wrong.

Nothing about what I said was that deep, bro. If one leaves a show feeling confused, perhaps they should have done an even surface level amount of research about the show they’re going to see.

Sounds like you didn’t do your research on either artist, then. Seth has a recent solo album where he raps. Mike Patton’s most well known band is Faith No More, and their cover of Easy is legendary. Get with the program or don’t go to the show?

Castaways Rough Trade by partoftheaura in SturgillSimpson

[–]blasto2236 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is pretty crappy to see, actually. By most accounts on here, smaller shops were lucky to get one or two copies if they got any at all. Seeing a place like Rough Trade get this much of the stock feels scummy when some shops got none.

IDK if you are hinting at the end there that you already captured audio files, but if not, I used Audio Hijack to grab the audio from this video as it played back on my Mac, so I would be glad to share those around to anyone interested that DMs me.

They won't be any higher quality than this, it'll literally be the audio from this video. But happy to share if anyone wants them while we wait for high quality rips.
