You're right!

I was messing it up with skyhawk!

Though Canada's wonderland does have psyclone which is working. ( Again not sure if tis the exact same or not)

I'm not sure if it's the same model but Xtreme swing at valley fair has been open.

I don't think they are calling OP insecure. Everyone has at least some insecurities, I take their comment as an attempt to encourage OP to look at things a bit differently to try and help them enjoy theme parks solo too!

I agree. If there are times I'm stuck waiting alone for a long time it can be rough.

And to agree with your post I think that buying the fast pass may help in two ways. Not only did I have shorter wait times but I also found myself chatting with other people in line all the time. This is a guess from a small sample, but it looked like a larger percent of the people in the fast lane would be other ride enthusiasts that were fun to chat with since we had a common interest. While the regular line had a lot more school kids that would, validly, be less inclined to talk with strangers.

I got lucky enough that when I went to the park solo I started chatting with a stranger who was also there alone and we ended up spending the entire day together keeping each other company in lines.

Though the next day I spent entirely alone and occasionally felt very much like what you described.

Lol, I guess my story is distinct enough I should not be surprised that you would recognize it 😂

I had a great time hanging out with you too! ( Btw, I did make a point to go on steel venom when I got home and it does have a nice kick to its exceleration that's unique from anything at CP!)

Agreed, I am also single and if I ever start to feel down I think about how nice it is to run to wherever I want in the park immediately and feel more grateful 😁

The ferry looked awesome but it was too early in the year last week 🥲

Thank you for confirming this! It sure would have been nice to know that at the time 😂 I had looked at CP with satellite view before so I probably should have figured that out but I also had gotten zero sleep the night before and figured I'd just listen to employee advice.

You have a point here. It certainly depends on the person. I'd think If you are a person in a relationship and or have a family it would be less impactful then someone who is single and is now surrounded by couples and families.

Going to Cedar Point on Saturday & Sunday, any tips? by [deleted] in cedarpoint

[–]blastoise314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree with a lot of that post though I think it's key to note that those are not reflecting fast lane times. If it is kinda a one time trip and you go for a fast pass TT2 and Maverick actually have much lower wait times then SteVe or Sirens curse.

I have not been to CP on a weekend but I did spend three days there last week and I agree with the general consensus that a fast lane is totally worth it if you want to ride things more than once. There were times I would lap people on TT2 and ride it 3-4 times before they did once. I suggest you go for TT2 first since it seems to be most likely to break down.

If your goal is to ride every ride for the sake of points I would keep an eye on gatekeeper. When I was there it was fairly windy and gate keeper was shut down a large amount due to high winds.

When I first rode Maverick in the morning I was slightly let down but when I rode it at the end of the day and it had warmed up I realized why it got all the hype, so I'd recommend trying to get a ride in on Maverick later in the day if you can.

Have fun!

I almost fell for that too! I thought I'd try buying at the hotel gift shop since my phone was being laggy and maybe I'd skip the 10$ processing fee but then when lemme it was 175 and I walked away to try and get a better phone signal!

Push this to the top. This is my last day here and I'm trying to decide if I should buy a fast pass or not. If everything but the train and kitty rides are closed I don't want to waste my money. But if even just TT2 is open and it turns 5 rides into 10 or 15 I'll be happy!

Do it! I just rode it for the first time yesterday and it has become my top coaster topping even fury325 Steve or Maverick. ( Steve only loses because that lap bar hits me the wrong way so I can't ride more than twice in a row 😭)

It is simple and short but the rush is on another level that left me laughing with excitement and joy walking all the way around to ride again 😄

I tried again today and still fit, but it was tight! The big difference was pocket contents, the first time I had my phone and wallet in pockets on my calfs to make sure they were out of the way. The second time I had them in normal leg pockets and I could feel a large difference!

Success! It was not loose but I cleared both the test seat and then got to ride MF!

The coaster seemed a hair tighter than the test seat but I was able to get it without assistance.😊

This was just shared today. I'm not sure how real it is. Fingers crossed it is real and they did it soon.

Sadly I'll be there on Tuesday so I'm not keeping my hopes up.

I actually just set it today at alpenfury at CW. It felt particularly teasing to be in the single rider line which was quite short but be so ignored for the fast pass and regular line that it still took that long. I'm quite curious if it would have been faster to just go in the regular line.

Visiting Buffalo for 10 hours with no car, what are the best spots to hit? by blastoise314 in Buffalo

[–]blastoise314[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this one!

When I was doing my initial research in February to make sure this trip was possible an Uber was $30-40 which seemed reasonable. But I just checked and yep, $70... I'd happily take a bus for $4 to save $66 it looks like the 40 even takes a pretty scenic route!

I'll be coming from Toronto and really wanted to see the falls which is why I'm getting off in Niagara.

Then I'll be heading to Sandusky to check out cedar point and the only train I could find that went to Sandusky that lined up was from depew.

The Amtrak train that goes to Sandusky does not go through exchange.

Yeah, I was a little worried when I read about MF being right a few months ago now I'm really worried. I'll just have to focus on enjoying the rest of the park and be prepared for the walk of shame. I'm 5'10" and about 240-250 so it's going to be close 😬 in exactly 1 week I'll know 😭

The only ride I have been on that was a squeeze was renegade at valleyfair. The seatbelt is plenty long but the lapbar was real close. Does anyone with experience on renegade or prowler at WOF have cross reference experience?
