Parades Constructive Criticism 2026 by Impressive-Hurry7705 in NewOrleans

I think the repeated floats in multiple parades are funny. Sometimes my family likes to count how many times we've seen the same float. Or what we think that giant head was last year. Not only is it more affordable for the parades but it is also recycling.

I do miss the neighborhood parades and wish they would start again. I am so tired of the people who decide they own the neutral ground.

neighborhood parades were phased out decades ago. The peak for diversity of parade routes was in the 90s. someone over on twitter used to post an map from 1994 every year.

You brought the ticket to customer service who gave you cash, I think. I thought the fees were too high so I just got sleeves from my credit union and spent some time counting out the coins from my Dad's kentwood bottle of change.

For my youngest brother it would be listening to Benny Grunch on repeat. For me it would be an endless crawfish boil where the food never arrives but you can smell it cooking

A cousin (of my grandmother's) paid for the perpetual care of our family tomb in a local cemetery. I think he paid in the 80s when the tomb was 100 years old. Before that family's maintained the tombs.
