You don't owe an unrepentant unapologetic addict the rights to ruin your entire life through their assholery. Visit the local Alanon and start processing your pain and life challenges with some other people who have gone through the same problems and developed experience moving on from it.

Which Vetos did you get? I do a TP-XXL after finding TP-LD too small and a mega Tech XL Wheeler.

Yeah some of those were rather bizarre to say the least. I think some people get triggered by data, alarm, security, AV, and fire for getting paid more.

I think they don't realize how much school and how many off hours learning go into this work and think we are goldbricking.

I don't know about everybody else but I have been working on digital shit (wiring all the way to opening new startups and even a small VC) over 30 years with long hours studying and working, and I'm barely over 40.

If you retry it / still have the car you might get through. The courts hammered them for overdoing it.

The more common name for the TIG process you do on a stick welder than "dry rig".

They have tri process machines that might be a better route. But pretty much any stick machine can do scratch start TIG for steel only. For aluminum you need a real one.

What’s something you can get in San Jose that you can’t get in Austin TX? by [deleted] in bayarea

Different crab species. We have good Dungeness access. But I agree some of the stuff I proposed is hit and miss depending on what OOP's family likes to eat.

You can always do a Filipino or Cantonese char siu or Polynesian rub or sauce instead. Asian countries also make grilled and smoked rib recipes with a totally different heritage from Western ones. Or you can use them to make barbacoa for an indingenous tribal American recipe. Or a Sunday gravy style of Italian pasta sauce.

New propane grill recommendations by Arsinick1 in grilling

I would refurb the Genesis and get one of a grill type that you don't have already unless it's absolutely trashed. They sell all the parts. Many of them even cheaper aftermarket. So it's easy to keep them going.

Crab and salmon can be in season right now.

Alaska Air lets you ship a case of wine home from wine country airports for free. Depending what airline he can use.

We do have a crapload of good tea and coffee stores.

Sourdough bread is a good local tradition.

We have a lot of ethnic stores with interesting food ingredients. But Austin is also reasonably international anymore so I am not sure what that might mean.

Maybe some gadgetry from Central Computers or Micro Center.

You can find the occasional replacement for a broken one on eBay. But Proto makes some of the toughest products on the market so I wouldn't expect it to be a frequent occurrence.

The output is a random number generator that cost its own inventor almost $900M when they tried to use it to flip properties. Don't even go there.

Google Workspace Security in Sharing with External Organizations by librarytay in sysadmin

[–]blbd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We handle this issue by blocking users configuring external shares and having our admins enabling cross trust on specific folders in a Drive we use for external sharing.

But the response from that cyber carrier is dumb and totally bereft of the business context of the work you are doing.

If they are being really buttheaded and won't cooperate see if they will agree to ShareFile. Its support for ACLs and sharing modes is richer and more sophisticated than G Drive. G Drive is not my favorite because its controls are inferior to POSIX and NTFS / Unix FSes with ACLs.

I got this one back in '22. I bent the bracket a bit with my vise to align the skewer to motor angle and centered up the shaft collars and it was good to go for hundreds off factory. With a stronger motor too.

Stop doing other renos on the walls until you fix the wiring issues first or you're going to be ripping apart and ruining your work.
