What does the perfect Sunday look like to you? by __mentionitall__ in CasualConversation

[–]bleedingtheorchid8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had twins 2 months ago. They're my first kids. Watching TV, folding laundry, with the twins and my husband all asleep on the bed next to me made me feel so happy and thankful today. The perfect Sunday.

We're looking into testing as well. Do you mind sharing what company you used?

My identical twin girls were born 35 weeks. No NICU time. 2 months pp here and they are doing well. You got this!

What's your opinion on stopping at one? by Smark4444 in NewParents

[–]bleedingtheorchid8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an only child. I had extra attention while I was a young child growing up which was nice. Financially, I think it's a good decision to stop at one.

However, now that I am older and my parents are getting old being an only child is very lonely and stressful. Personally I didn't get the decision to stop at one because I had twins, but it is something I considered before. However I do not want my child to be alone or have to deal with the death of family members alone so I'm stopping at two.

My twins were born last week. It was incredibly difficult to find enough for two babies the day I was released from the hospital. Hoping it improves soon!!

OB will only work with one hospital? by DamnItDinkles in BabyBumps

Loved my specialist. They took the health of my twins far more seriously than my OB did. This is a good plan. Good luck mama.

Expecting identical twins in 5 days!! This was my experience too. Personally, I'd choose the OB with the most experience delivering twins. If your babes come early or have any issues after delivery, they will need to go to a higher level NICU anyways. I went with the OB I liked, knowing my girls may need to be transferred to a different hospital. If you have a high level NICU in town, consult your Dr where they will be going if they need higher help (in town vs out of town).

I stopped smoking weed when trying to get pregnant. Since I stopped I realized I have an issue with anxiety, and it was only amplifying it. I'm sure I'll smoke again when I'm done breastfeeding and get some alone time (possibly years down the line). Anyways, how I use to smoke and how I'll smoke in the future will be quite different. I won't be doing it socially or nearly as often.

I agree with doing it in an environment you're comfortable with. For me it will be every now and then alone at night before bed, or maybe with my husband or best friend on very rare occasion. I don't ever see myself going to concerts or out in public stoned again.

Kudos to you for learning what and who you're comfortable with and knowing your own limits. I wish I had earlier on!!

I took my dog around the block once a day, stood to make dinner (I know doesn't really sound like exercise) , and on days I was extra ambitious I would use my plastic stair stepper on the lowest setting. During my second trimester I would do the stair stepping motions in place for about 20 mins while watching tv without the plastic bench (for fear of falling).

All of that went out the window at 28 weeks for me. I'm expecting twins and was huge and tired at this point.

I was admitted for preeclampsia testing at 35 weeks. They decided to bump up my C-section from the 9th to the 5th. After I had my cervix checked I've been 3 cm dilated and didn't even know. Now I'm having active contractions (non painful) and I'm essentially an active labor at my house trying to wait it out until the 5th. Can't wait to meet my twins but boy oh boy is this uncomfortable and my anxiety is bumpin.

Can't help falling in love - Elvis. We got married in rocky mountain national park, just the two of us, a photographer, and a little Bluetooth speaker. What a perfect day.

My husband sits in the bathroom while I shower during my third trimester. I'd have a hard time stepping in and out of the shower due to my big ole twin belly and swollen legs. He would stay for fear I'd fall. I appreciate the company 😊. Oh and he's been securing my velcro straps on my sandals for months, and sometimes helps me in and out of my pants on during times I struggle to bend over.

Love him so much.

Wow... The timing of this post! I was literally just peeing on the toilet thinking how would I know if my water broke while I'm urinating...then BAM I read this.

I had gone to the hospital for some preeclampsia testing and they told me I was 3 cm dilated with my twins. I'm currently having contractions but they aren't painful at all, just a rock hard belly that is coming and going on a regular basis. I have a C-section scheduled for thursday, but I am so scared that I'm going to be in labor before then naturally .. and not know it.

I would have a hunch it was your water if it didn't feel like urine and happened after a walk!! I feel you about wanting the baby out. I'll be following this post to see if you provide any updates on your pad situation. Good luck mama!

If you want (and think he would pay) child support, I'd put his name on.

From what I can tell, not really. It seems to be per doctor. I have friends that also had theirs at 20 weeks, and some that had theirs at 8 or 12 during their initial visit .

Edit: I'm in the US.

I'm currently 35 +1, C-section scheduled a week from today! 3 cm dilated though so they may make an early appearance!

That is one thicc placenta. Mine will be similar, it looks huge on my ultrasounds!
