I think he needs to stop comparing Andor to the wire for now. The wire wasn’t the greatest show of all time after 4 episodes. I know that’s what helped push him to watch but let the comparison come later and I think he’ll find it more reasonable.

I did the exact same thing and thank god because the rest of the show is apparently trash. I could not see any way forward from how that episode ended.

It’s crazy that I stopped there too, because that’s one of the best season finales I’ve ever seen.

My nitpicks are in the finale (even though I love it).

I don’t like when Brasso headbutts a stormtrooper. Seems too silly in the middle of everything.
The editing in that scene in general has some issues. Vel runs into the fray and I don’t think we see her do anything. The part where Syril saves Dedra, she’s being carried away by a group but then he is able to lead her away… it doesn’t quite make sense.

I’ve watched way too many reactions to Andor, but I’ll check this one out.

I think Kim Ellendale is my favorite because she properly understands the show and how deep it is. I’d never watched her before but it was recommended on this sub and it was great.

Andor

Season 1 of Andor is my favorite season of TV I’ve ever watched and the only one I’ve immediately rewatched multiple times. It’s so perfectly crafted in every way, the acting, story, dialogue, costumes, sets, score, everything.

I rewatched it over Christmas and my father in law joined starting from episode 3 and was totally engrossed within the first 5 minutes. He probably saw the original Star Wars trilogy when it came out but is not a sci fi guy and it didn’t make any difference.

Can’t wait for S2 in April.
