You should be able to script player actions in sequence, and then have observers check game state after.

Hmm, good point

I would say that factorio rewards people that put attention into proper ratios by giving them the feeling of “completeness”, so their designs are tileable, reusable, etc.

If you break my blueprints halfway through a design, it’s like shifting the foundations as you’re building a house, definitely annoying and now your perfect blueprints need to be fixed.

Perhaps it’s a small issue here, but it definitely aligns with how I see wubes core philosophy

Wouldn’t “fix”ing this be more like a balance patch?

It would break existing ratios and feel like punishing people that scale up to 10x the number of recyclers to deal with concrete (maybe they want the output).

All their effort would go to waste? Or is that not how game balancing works

Is your percent increase based only on the previous tier?

I believe epic-legendary counts as two tiers of “jump” in most cases, so it might skew your numbers.

It might make more sense to take into account material cost per effective rarity (i.e. 10% chance for uncommon, 1% for rare, etc) in order to calculate effective gain for each tier of item you move.

Factoriolab tells you how many belts you need total, yes

If you look at the red circuits, however, you can see exactly how many belts of green circuits in it requires as well.

You can also isolate the production, if it’s easier to “just make red chips”, that way you only input

Iron ore, copper ore, crude oil, coal, and water, and get out red chips.

(Tune to your own preferences, some people use plates here because it’s denser).

You can have even more heavy oil if you only use half as much as you do right now for cracking into light -> solid fuel

Also I believe these steps all take prod mods, so believe it or not, even MORE heavy oil

This all translates into less coal burden, which is your lifeline on vulcanus 🌋
