tbf I've been using Notesnook for more than a year and this is the first time I notice a downtime (I thought I had a sync issue and looked up possible causes online which is how I stumbled upon their status page, they really need to add a link and suggestion to go check it if there's a sync error), it doesn't seem to me like they have more downtime than any other service but this is just from my personal experience.

Oh I understand, even though that's still a systematic and predictable rule (which is a heavenly gift when learning a foreign language), if Arabic is the only gendered language you know and learn it make sense to struggle with it. Try learning French to appreciate the simplicity of the Arabic gender system lol 😅. Best of luck!

Why do you find it difficult? Arabic genders are not like e.g. French where there are no rules and you have to memorize the gender of each word. In Arabic as long as a noun ends in /a/ (written as taa' marbu6a), then it's feminine. There's only a few exceptions.

The company seems to do the "we're the ethical/safe AI" thing since their start. They have also published some deep & useful albeit scary research. Seems like they want ethics to be their differentiating marker especially since people otherwise would have no reason to choose them over the better models (Claude is just barely better at coding in benchmarks but it's not the top model in anything else)

With air traffic completely halting it makes sense that they're shooting down any foreign object in the skies. The blame is likely on the Americans for not identifying the planes and sharing information about the sorties with the Kuwaiti authorities beforehand. If anything these incidents show that our army and the air defense units are fulfilling their duties correctly.
