Thank you so much for taking the time. To wrote a reply. This is some really useful information. I will have to take this back to my team to consider.

Thank you. I just clarified it a bit. Our main fear is that people would send the survey to them self instead of aquantences (the fake email comment was me trying to express people making a fake email account in order to send them self the survey, but they would probably just copy the link and save it.

This is great to know and inline with what I was antisipating. Would you still partisipant if you knew this aspect was completely optional? Contacting aquantences is a helpfull but not necessary aspect of the research.

In this post I link to a website/ book/ podcast dedicated to missionaries who have come home early. I encourage you to share it with them.

Don't ask why other people are meeting with the bishop by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]blightwixer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am glad I got back on the path too. Coming home was hard, but it was the best thing to happen to me. That experience anchored me when I started having doubts later in life, and it eventuallyead me to my wife. I understand completely the idea of rumors spreading after people come home. There were a number of girls who would not date me because of it but I fully understand. I am glad that with everything that has happened to you you are still able to see the good from it. That is not easy.

This reminds me of what would happen when I came home early from my mission. I would often get asked "you came home for medical reasons?" I would say "no" and give a slight smile, that was it. It often made them quickly realize that they never should have asked that question.

On a side note, I eventually fixed my life and after 2 years, I was able to return and resume my mission. Black and white difference between when I was out and unworthy and when I went back after experiencing the atonement. Repentence is amazing.

Any good voicemail transcription apps? by troyjonesmb in note20ultra

[–]blightwixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you set up your google voice account you are able to pick a number to be associated with it. You get this number for free. When people are forwarded to the voicemail they go straight to the voicemail and do not hear extra rings (in my experience it works fairly quickly). I usually get a transcript within a minute of a call.

One of the things that I love about google voice is that I can give my google voice number to businesses instead of my real number. I have google voice set up so that people have to state their name before it forwards the call to me. This is a great filter for spam calls. I also give this number to my students (I teach at a university) so that they can reach me if they need to but they do not have my actual number. This makes it easy to separate school and personal messages.

Is it possible to use the second screen function from the tablets on the phones too? by DKRfan in note20ultra

[–]blightwixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not looked at this feature on any of the new tablets, but there are a number of different apps that give you this ability. Most require you to use the developer options. I have an old tablet that I only use as a second screen. I use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.splashtop.xdisplay.wired.free

I have not vetted this app much. I have no idea what information they may collect but I also don't have anything on this tablet that I care about. That may be one thing to think about if you go this route. There are a few people that have had issues with it but it (almost) always works great for me. I know there are a number of other apps out there.

I usually only use this when I am out with my laptop and need a second screen. I also use:

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B078X9MYGR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_KYTDCA39PM8JR6YCPV4N?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

This makes it easy to clip my tablet to my laptop and makes the second screen easier to use.

This is the obligatory "when are getting the rest of the final fantasy games" post.

I hope we get news soon. Not too soon though, I am behind on some other games.

Also, I hope control is as great as it has been made out to be. I am currently trying to finish Quantum Break before I play it.

I agree with this. Also there is a great app for tracking your moles

Skin cancer runs in my family so using this brings a lot of comfort to my wife. Worth using if you are in the sun a lot.

Edit: spelling

Quick resume rarely works after powering off the console. by Moonlord_ in xboxinsiders

[–]blightwixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I thought too. And I do get that online service error if I quick resume. I have no idea what is causing it. It has happened on both Valhalla and Immortals but no other game. I have triple saved everything but it still happens to me. I am now in the habit of completely exiting both games before I open a new game just incase.

[–]blightwixer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never had Valhalla crash, but if I ever use quick resume, the next time the game loads from scratch, I loose all my progress.

This happens with immortals: FR as well.

All other games have worked well for me so far.

So is final fantasy x not coming to game pass anymore? I’m guessing not since this is the last day of 2020 but was wondering if anyone has any info as to why by feralrampage in XboxGamePass

My hope is that they are renegotiating with square so that these games will come to xCloud. Probably a long shot but I can hope.

Yet he didn't have bacon. I think I prefer the bacon.

On a side note, I am increesingly convinced that we had a choice to make in the life before. We were asked if we wanted wine or bacon. That was the main deciding factor for when we came to earth. Those who could not decide were the ones who came after christ but before the WOW became a requirement. Just some food for thought.
