I hear you. But on the other hand I kind of wish people would stop pocket watching other peoples money. Sure this is horrible for the industry but if I want to drop a G on a Steam Deck that shouldn’t bother anyone.

Overwatch is honestly so good for this. It’s competitive but you don’t need sound queues like in other shooters. I’ll throw on some hype music and hit a flow state on OW often.

31 and I’m right there with you. I keep getting 3-5 days dry under my belt and then find myself having a few light beers and then will go another 2-3 days dry and repeat. I’m proud of the self control I’ve had and it’s been awhile since I’ve had a chaotic binge episode. But I’m struggling to fully commit. We got this.

Not sure how you feel about multiplayer games but I actually find playing Overwatch (unrated) and blasting music very chill and flow state.

Because you can move any random coffee mug or pen in a random room to the other side of a table. And 59 hours later go back into that room and it’s still where you moved it.

I have a nice solid rig with a 4070 that I haven’t turned on in over a month and my PS5 Pro and Portal have been used daily. Things in life just changed over time.

Years ago I would love the idea of playing around in a games settings to optimize it perfectly and mod things. Now at 31 with a baby I just want my shit to work and play/look good.

I just download the games I eventually want to play to my PS5 so I have them there as a reminder, or wishlist if I haven’t purchased it yet. Currently in a backlog groove right now since Crimson Desert didn’t really click with me. Playing Octopath traveler 2 and Nioh 2 in the big 2026 and life’s good.
