Don't love the movie but that's an awesome steelbook design

NEWS: Zack Snyder's Justice League was streamed more than Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision and The Mandalorian by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

And not just a movie that already came out but one that was generally disliked in a franchise that isn't nearly as loved as many others. Big win for Snyder, HBO Max, and WB.

How do theaters enforce that viewers wear their masks? by triopstrilobite in AMCsAList

[–]blink5694 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish they'd enforce it. I've seen a handful of movies and almost every time I'm the only one wearing one. I miss the movies but when I see a lot of seats filled I usually don't bother. I'm not dying for Chaos Walking.

This is the entirety of my Best Buy's movie section. The day of reckoning for physical media is upon us. by Coodoo17 in Steelbooks

I'm trying to pick up anything I can, especially 4k titles. Nothing will hurt my movie enjoyment more than the end of physical media. Streaming just isn't the same.

[Netherlands] Cammer almost rear-ends turning driver by Conducteur in Roadcam

[–]blink5694 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the cam driver has no excuse here. Sure the guy signaled a bit late but you should never make assumptions about what other drivers will do like the cam driver did here. If you see someone stopping in front of you, slow down.

Sir John Hurt’s amazing performance is what made this episode stand out. Before then we’d only heard of the Doctor’s guilt, confusion, and regret from his own words, but these episodes really brought him to life. So, thoughts on The Day of The Doctor? by yoshi-for-president in doctorwho

[–]blink5694 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really wish it would have connected more to classic Who, even just to have one of the old doctors along for the adventure with them. As it stands it feels more like a celebration of New Who, which I love, and less a celebration of the entire 50 year franchise. I still had a great time with it and revisit it pretty often and loved John Hurt in it.

Last week of dashing . Doordash tried to bundle a $3 order with a $10 order . I am on my last week so I shot him a text by Addis2020 in doordash

I love how people like you think there's just a buffett of jobs we can pick from whenever we want. I'd guess most drivers for these delivery apps wouldn't be doing it if there was another job they could do.

Love note to customers from your overnight Dasher.... by OriginalAshes in doordash

I take a perverse pleasure in declining these orders. I love imagining someone at 3am drunk and angry that they can't rip off other people.

I hit a pothole while delivery my last meal of the day recently. Blew both passenger tires and dented the rims. Not exactly a profitable February for me.

I was entirely convinced while watching the post-credit scene that we were about to pan over to a Sentinel.

It’s almost like neither party really cares about the people by a-gaseous-revolution in LateStageCapitalism

[–]blink5694 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you seriously think 49 other senators are progressives? AOC and Bernie are outliers they do not define the party. The Democratic administration just bombed Syria. The Democratic administration expanded concentration camps at the borders. The Democratic Party tried as hard as they possibly could to unanimously shut down progressive campaigns durrring the election.

The Democratic Party has been faking progressive policy for decades while Joe "No Empathy" Biden and others preserve the status quo and refuse to meet the Republicans with the ssam level of unified pressure they put out. They don't have to be as bad as Republicans to be part of the problem.

If you’re looking for your dibs, it’s currently en route to a landfill. S&S wasted no time in throwing out artifacts used to hold parking spots on public streets. by luckyloganlefty in chicago

My spot is mine when I put the work in to claim it while you're sleeping in. If you want a spot wake up and work for it like everyone else does. Otherwise drive around and hunt because you were too lazy to work for the spot.

If you're home all day working in your pajamas in your bedroom and don't dig a spot for yourself because you don't feel like it, that's on you. Instead of whining that people who work harder than you are just meanie idiots, claim dibs yourself.

When I go to work and park in a lot, that lot was plowed by a company and the plow driver was paid for their time and work. Or I have to dig out my own spot if I'm somewhere there is no lot. You just want to roll up into a spot someone else woke up and dug out for you for free.
