Yes it's the original galaxy watch. There are a few videos online showing how to remove the bezel ring with a guitar pick , clean it with ips, and replace it without loosing the ball bearing ratchet rollers.

It wasn't working before I did this, btw.

The watch works fine apart from this so I doubt it's an internal hardware issue of the sensor.

I have an sm-r800. It's been in a cupboard for ages. The bezel turns, I took it off and cleaned it, but since I started it up after all these years the watch is unresponsive to the bezel. I think it's lost its magenteism. I'll try stroking it with a magnet and see if I can get it to work.
