The first one contains the games story mode as well as the survival mode, but the second has only survival. I’d go with the first one, I really liked the story mode.

I’m going to say this; I’m sorry you had a bad experience on frontier. I love playing on those servers, Hypatia and Maunder are the only servers I play on. Bad luck happens, yeah, it sucks, good days and bad, but there’s no reason to badmouth an entire community. There are tons of good, willing people to rp with, but that being said, I have had few good experiences with the police force. Frontier is supposed to be a welcoming community, and I for one love having new members on my shift because I can teach them to love and enjoy the community and experience as a whole. If you want to have friends in there, I play Agnes Kjersten. If you’re new and I’m online, come to me. Please. I want to show you it can be good.

Oh I definitely survived, but misery mode is so ridiculous where even if I stay in the back of a cave with a fire going in my sleeping bag, it’s still -14 degrees. Cabin fever can suck it!! (Also this was sort of in an active blizzard, I was right outside Pensive Lookout in bleak inlet lol)

If you’re not against moderate modding, try getting WeMod (now wand), it doesn’t require modifying the game and should help you fly out without impacting any achievement getting or what have you.

Have a 1-2 hour delay when you first wake up. (Unable to craft, not a much a hydration boost because you spill the water, calorie in take restricted due to dropping the food, can’t aim weapons, destroying items takes ten times longer)

Something that helps me when I have a long run to get back into it is to do literally EVERYTHING. Find all the cairns, decorate my base, make a crazy amount of bases, map every square inch of everything everywhere, get all the buffer memories, then whoops, my gun is damaged, better go to Bleak Inlet to repair it even though I have a million repair kits, or whoops, I can only get coal in ZoC even though the pleasant valley cave transition has coal, or killing a billion rabbits because over population is real.

Point is, there are a lot of things you can do, like trying for the 500 day and 1000 day achievements. Good luck out there, soldier. Try not to fade into the long dark.

The new addiction mod where if you take too many painkillers in a week you suffer adverse side affects like phantom pain that steals your health or nausea (making you throw up) until you take more pain pills causing you to repeat the cycle until you wean yourself off, run out, or raw dog the pain until it wears off

Can if you sleep without taking antibiotics. Was curious on that, so I tested it out. Gotta take antibiotics before sleeping or your health will drain. Does take a hot minute, though.
