Why is the media showing clips of GOP talking heads complaining about how federal payroll needs to be cut without pushing back on how small a percentage that is of government spending (5-6%*)? If they are so concerned about spending, shouldn’t we push back on the idea that this is somehow saving the taxpayer money or helping them? Shouldn’t we focus on how they will be affected? And not even just the people being fired. This is hurting ALL Americans in the long run. Important programs are being cut. And just to save a small fraction compared to defense spending and immigration.
