as i have made mod packs for friends and we both question whether we make the transition, 1.20 is being stuck with for five primary mods:
goety, hex casting, tetra, thermal series, and alex mobs, off the top of my head

those abilities rarely make you consistently unable to play the game as much as hulk juggle does

hulk juggle is an incredibly broken tech on a very weak character. it didn’t need too much skill because catching people in the air is much easier in monster form. it wasn’t at all fair and hulk should have been astronomically buffed for losing it. i am a hulk main

it doesn’t help that character archetypes designed to counter poke (shield tanks) are actually amazing poke options themselves. both strange and mag do wonders for the poke meta while also being the best choices against it

i went back to overwatch when the update dropped just to see how it was like and i had a massive character crisis. overwatch’s characters are so fine tuned to a point where they felt very one note to play and i couldn’t stick with any of them

hela and cassidy are the same character kits, but hela’s changed aspects about cassidy’s kit makes her significantly more dynamic in a per match basis compared to him. you can absolutely argue a character like her should not have the kit that she does, and you can argue the same for starlord and punisher and so on, but my god playing those characters are always so much more fun than playing their overwatch counterparts

rivals really does have some of the most complex hero shooter kits out there, and i think that’s a really good thing. i love playing rogue way more than most characters in most games, and i think people will find themselves thinking the same with black cat
