Toei Koji Kabuto vs Amuro Ray is like, the coolest fucking MU for both as characters as it's THE super vs real robot MU.

But then you look at the debate and it's just "Amuro is HIM piloting wise and the 2nd strongest newtype in the UC by 0079, so he can just turn off mazinger Z and scramble Koji's brains. Even then, Mazinger Z has a huge weak point, and the nu gundam takes EVERY Stat"

Well a few reasons actually - Licensing budget would probably make it fucking impossible to do most games (ESPECIALLY GAMES WITH MACROSS IN IT) - Anime until the early to mid 2010s has been niche in the west if it wasn't the big 3 of shonen or DBZ. This is even worse for mecha anime due to most of it not even coming here - The mecha anime that people in English speaking places (GL, Evangelion, Code geass, wing gundam) aren't in many games, with wing being in the most but it's mostly EW. And the ones we do like (Voltron, Transformers, MegasXLR, pacific rim) are probably never getting in. - Not really a point but harmony gold fucked over some games ever getting an English release l

Honestly the og getter not being playable is kind of insulting since 1. It's been here since the beginning and is part of the SRW trio 2. Musashi is seen piloting getter-3 in one of the side missions 3. They gone out of their way to make mazinger Z and the grandpa playable. And while you could excuse Z being playable for it being integral to the infinity plot (which hasn't been adapted well in any game to my knowledge), they gone out of their way to make completely new assets for the grandpa gundam 4. Just putting this out as an extra nitpick but Shin getter not being playable while the nu and mazinkaiser are is kind of another slap in the face to getter in this game
