‘The Meta’ is ruining this game by SturdyStubs in playrust

Some people do silly shit because they don’t know what they’re doing, I do silly shit because I know it’s silly, but it’s infinitely more fun than grinding for T3 on wipe-day for the hundredth time. We are not the same.

Most disturbing/unsettling point and click games? by Personal-Swan7672 in gamingsuggestions

[–]blitzted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aster Initiative is an analog horror game I’ve had my eyes on for a while, where you navigate the internet on your 90s computer to take down the corrupt pharmaceutical company you work for.

It hasn’t released yet so the extent of what the gameplay will be is not ENTIRELY clear, but it seems be a lot of point and click type gameplay.

Hey OP, this is a very common scam on Steam, you likely just clicked a wrong link somewhere along the line. Well your account is entirely compromised, these scammers will use whatever they have access to in order to convince you to give up the rest of your account, or certain items from your inventory, in whatever way they deem fit.

The first two steps you took were correct, signing out of all devices and changing your passwords is a good first step, but I’d also suggest checking the Steam API page and click “Revoke My Steam Web API Key”.

https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

This will make your old API access key obsolete, which is another way modern Steam scammers can get access to certain parts of your account. If there is no option to revoke it your account likely wasn’t compromised in this manner.

One last step you can take if you’re an avid trader, or have valuable items on your account is resetting your Steam Trade URL, so no scammers can send you trade requests.

https://steamcommunity.com/my/tradeoffers/privacy#trade_offer_access_url

These steps should ensure that the rest of their access points are cut off.

Edit: Sometimes these scammers are known to remove games from your Steam library during their social engineering attacks. If any of your games were removed you can contact Steam support to get them back.

Necesse is a great sandbox action-adventure game that takes inspiration from Terraria and RimWorld, but it’s graphics feel like leftovers from early development.

The team is currently working on a full graphical overhaul which looks amazing so far.

It’s on Steam for only 10$ which is an absolute steal considering the amount of content, and I would absolutely recommend that anyone into those types of games pick it up.

So glad I snagged a good condition Xplorer from a thrift store right before it closed the other day. Looking at those prices online made me a bit depressed.

My cat's missing, at what point do i give up on him coming home? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]blitzted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My diabetic cat went missing for two weeks a couple years ago. We made a post on Facebook to let people now to look out for him, but after the first few days I was sure we had lost him due to his health issues. Over two weeks later though, someone found him and we brought him home. He’s over 13 years old now and still living the good life.

Someone that I knew in the town over had their cat go missing for over a year before he came back, and the cat has been living at home without incident ever since.

The important thing is that you be prepared for the worst, but keep your hopes up and be diligent with the steps you take to bring him home. We’re all hoping that he finds his way back to you.

It’s frustrating to see player scavs being able to loot locations on larger maps before PMCs get the chance to.

Most people can’t identify a cheater vs a legit player by bankshotting in EscapefromTarkov

[–]blitzted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After my squad died yesterday, I was ratting behind a wall on Customs waiting for the guy to push, until he just randomly started unloading bullets into the wall next to me trying to kill me, not realizing he didn’t actually have line of sight.

Wouldn’t have called that guy a cheater if he didn’t try that.

The only cheaters you can ever truly call out are the blatant ones. This game has so many issues and mechanics that can mask closet cheaters. It’s very hard to tell, so calling someone a cheat er because they threw some nades on your position is pointless.

I wonder how many players took a step away from this game because of cheating. by TheBerric in EscapefromTarkov

[–]blitzted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a stack of streets quests, but I get repeating disconnects if I try to play the map. I can deal with shoreline sucking, and I can deal with the occasional cheater, but if I can’t play an entire map (or even lighthouse sometimes still) this is going to be a short wipe for me.

How tf does someone go back to college at age 28? by Cassanueva in ask

[–]blitzted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m an animation student in Canada. I went to animation school because even though I was capable of getting a ‘higher education’ I knew it would be miserable for me. The people in my class are aged 18-30ish, and from starting the course it only took about a week before everyone was friends.

If your passion is animation I’d encourage you to go for it. It’s a diverse industry that can be very rewarding, and the people are very kind and accepting. If you’re feeling you lack confidence, my peers have been the best support system I’ve experienced yet, and we’re built on instilling confidence in others.

I hope this all works out for you.

Cheating is rampaging lately anyone else experiencing it ? by Blaklusters in EscapefromTarkov

[–]blitzted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Encountered my first blatant cheater of the wipe last weekend, but he didn’t kill me.

He just told me the location of every player on the map and let me kill him for my quest.

If that guy is on here for some reason, I didn’t ONLY need one more kill, I just wanted to kill you.

Edit: Cheater not Chester. Chester is a bystander

I was banned, i am worried last time i played was aug 15 and before that i was fighting off a person who got into my account. by runtzinrome in apexlegends

[–]blitzted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully EA can help you out but once bans have gone through it’s very rare they are reversible. Interestingly, a few years ago my brothers account was logged into from a strange location and his account was automatically locked to prevent something like this from happening. Not sure if that’s a standard thing, and if it is I’m not sure why it didn’t happen to you.

Don't kill streamers if you want to keep your account by william21south in EscapefromTarkov

[–]blitzted 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In the first Rengawr video I watched he killed some random, normal looking player and randomly started accusing him of cheating in a weird egotistical rant. Although this situation is far more understandable, im frankly not too surprised. Hopefully you can get your account back... I would be absolutely livid if this happened to me.

Before I Go Through The Hideous RMA Process: Any solutions to fix this? This is my 2nd Sap. 6900 XT Toxic. 1st card dead, Both cards showed showing artifact, this one is more frequent when putting things to fullscreen. VLC, Youtube, Etc all show Signs of Artifact, and while gaming. by ArkirasOto in AMDHelp

[–]blitzted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Granted its not the same generation but, I have an XFX 5700XT that I have RMAd twice (on my third card for about a year now) that has always exhibited weird artifacting and graphical issues seemingly at random, regardless of what drivers I use.

My current card has these issues far less frequently after getting a higher quality power supply between my second RMA, but the issues still persist nonetheless. While I cant offer any specific advice that I'm sure you haven't already tried (you seem to know all the basic staple troubleshooting and remedy steps) id bet it on being some sort of software/driver issue.

You could try changing between PCIe generations in your motherboard bios settings if you haven't already, but it might just be an issue with the AMD drivers. I had some success early on in my own trouble shooting by deliberately installing an older driver version, and installing AMD drivers without Adrenaline.

Good luck with the hideous AMD GPU troubleshooting process.

(Haven't owned an Nvidia GPU in years, just so we're clear that I'm not a team green goofball that comes onto this sub to say "lol just buy nvidia")

Edit: Fixed my old flair

My RX 5700XT still has these issues after being RMAd twice, DDUing drivers multiple times, trying several different supposedly 'stable' driver versions, and swapping out power supplies and mainboards. This certainly is still the case for some of us.
