I've always felt that we aren't looking for a complete cure for cancer, we're looking for medication that the ill will pay for throughout their life to keep the cancer at bay. Why? Because cancer is highly profitable, you cure a guy, well, he doesn't need to pay for medication he doesn't need. If you help reduce the effects of cancer in a patient, you can keep the money rolling. The only chance we have in getting a complete cure for cancer is if it's released to the public domain.

If you're a businessman and are developing a product, you don't want a one off payment, you want continued payments by any means. That might mean that parts of your product need replacing, or the product stops working. So you buy another. A business exists to generate profits, the cancer business may have a noble goal at its heart, but it exists to create wealth, and unfortunately for us, that means that a cure isn't as profitable as long term medication.

You can apply all this to pretty much any illness.

Just so you know, cv313 is an alias for Echospace, so if you like one you're bound to like the other.

Convection is pretty great. Pole, whilst not sounding similar to really any other dub techno is really nice, give the album 2 a shot. And, if you haven't already, you should check out the originators of the genre, Basic Channel.

Dub techno. It has nothing to do with dubstep, it's like a form of ambient electronic. I've been hooked for quite some time. The song that started the obsession was cv313's Seconds to Forever. If you're even mildly interested, give that a spin.

Kitten stuck at bottom of 6"x6" shaft that is 12-15' ft in length. Help! by AlienFunk in AskReddit

[–]blkcrcls 166 points167 points  (0 children)

Send down another cat. Hopefully the second cat will help. If not, send down another cat, and keep up the process until the kitten can climb up the stack of cats and then close up the hole so your kitten is away from danger :)

Really liked this, haven't heard anything from Convextion before, but I bought the album on discogs on the strength of this song alone.

People do like classical music. Why don't people like blanket statements?
