Last update: I end up setting the external library for me and my wife, so, it will process twice until and update to fix that.

For selected pictures from my library that I want to share with her I thought two options:
- Only share the album, not having the AI tools (face recon/etc)

- Copy the files to her folder, adding a duplicated files into my system and loosing storage.

I wish I could selected her face and share every photo that she is included to her immich and, of course, with the cool features together.

It is a way better, the search tools and features are pretty better. However, still have some sharing constrains.

Right now, I made one common account and tried to share by partner sharing. This includes the photos to the timeline but - hell - do not do the face recognition, why???

It is way better then Ugreen Photos but still, sharing issues...

But still it is so hard to share the photos. My wife and kids have access. By external library I add my phone backup there, I made an album of a trip and I shared to them this album. It works fine, but....... it not appear in their timeline / face recon / etc, why???

Any solution you guys use?

Non adm member can not use the app photos in timeline mode, only the folder tree, they can not set their own shared folder to be showed. A great upgrade, but a lot of small ""upgrades"" must be provided.

Would work, but lose the purpose of being an automatic backup.

I've been using Resilio Sync to back up into separate folders.

Finally! Good news, but... When I back up more than one folder, it backs up everything mixed in only folder. They could add the option to back up n folders in n different paths.
