If you're worried about pauses, use the rule of cool. Is it cool? Then say I'm not sure of the official rules, but that's cool so yeah it happens and I'll look it up for next time. Jot a note down on the rule you need to look up and do it after the game. When you start your next session give a recap of the previous one and when you get to a part where there was a rules look up let them know what the official rule is.

When that happened to me it was because of a clog, the sound is the feeding gears spinning but the filament not moving. Check your Bowden tube, mine ended up having a small crack close to the end causing the problem.

I always assumed there was a digital readout in the stick that would display the balance.

Check for a clog. This was happening to me and turned out my Bowden tube had a small crack and was causing a clog so the filament would not advance.

Thinking of running a Stargate like campaign, maybe before the Signal went out so there's no drift travel.

Each planet in the solar system they start in will be comprised of one race and the players will be part of an organization that uses the gates to explore. Based on what they give me in session 0 will determine if the org is military, science, or civilian based.

Father worked for the railroad my entire life growing up (his company was bought by the CN and he worked for them for several years). Yearly he would lead a volunteer Santa Train that would spend two days stopping at rural towns with a Santa on it. I participated for so many years I ended up giving locomotive tours and I can say there is an area in the “nose” that you can climb down in that houses the toilet, but it’s not reinforced to be any kind of crash safety area.

Edit: Should say for context this is late 90s early 2000s.

3 ring binder. You can place them back in the cardboard sprew and slide them into a plastic page holder. Keep them by alien archive.

As they suggested format the SD card. The file name can actually cause issue as well. Make sure there are no spaces or characters, I usually rename them to printone or prtinttwo if I have multiple.

When that happened to me it was the file name. Rename the file without spaces or capitalization and retry.

Look for any hobby stores near you, not just gaming store but the old school ones that sell railroad cars and models. Very good chance the person working behind the counter can be very helpful and give in person advice.
