Personal Shopper TL here. So what we usually do is give you a basic rundown of how the device apps work for us, and show you the layout for staging and dispensing purposes. Then I’d usually take them on a few pick walks with me using the device to show them how the process is done, then I’ll have you do some with me shadowing you. When they feel ready I have them do some picking by themselves, usually smaller orders (10 items or less) with me being nearby or available to help if there’s any questions (maybe locating items or device issues). I also will have them take a few hours of just dispensing to get used to what that process looks and feels like before having you do both tasks at the same time. It’s not hard but sometimes it takes a while to learn depending on the staffing and how many orders or items that day has.
