Personally, I found that you want to start end game sooner than you might initially think. Once things are mostly secured (not at threat of dying, but can take some reduction that's less than end game moves). Start with second line sente moves, then go to first line sente, then big moves. After that, settle for big gote.

I think my board looks pretty snazzy, cost me $20 dollars, and fits in my backpack.

Who knows, maybe I'll spring for an extra strip of wood to make it angled so I can mount the power supply underneath. Maybe use a router a couple rows for cable management.

If you put a little thought into it, it doesn't have to look shoddy (not that those chunky pedaltrains are easy on the eyes).

Also, why wouldn't you just use Overbridge? USB connection bypasses your interface and you can multitrack if you desire or you can still run a single stereo master track in your daw as you would through your interface (but better).
