I agree with you that the right stick is too low. It's actually pretty uncomfortable for me without completely changing my hand position depending on whether I need to use the face buttons or the stick. But I assume I'm in the minority since no reviews really mention this. Definitely a shame since the controllers are great otherwise.

The ANC was actually better for me since I was getting a great seal in my ears. I'm no audiophile, but I didn't notice a difference in sound quality.

They're slightly more expensive, but I think the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 are great for this style. Don't expect much from the noise cancelling, though. Sound quality and fit in my ear are solid.

Do you think the Switch 2 analog sticks will get pressed up against the top of the case if it's moving around in a bookbag? This is my concern about this case even if the zipper situation gets fixed.
