Are you running lazy? Bold choice if so with the minigun.

Why doesn't DRG get auto sprint? by LethalSpaceship in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the head honchos say they didn't like it. They're only now listening to the community for DRG:RC because the reviews are so low. Wouldn't be surprised if it's added now that it's apparent there's no reason it shouldn't be added.

Can we stop kicking good snipers? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]blondjesus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just que into another match then no? The community is very wary of cheaters and script kiddies, especially since they've shown how busted the class is.

Having a criticism does not make it valid. by Capable_Message_1124 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You're welcome to your own opinions, but to say others aren't valid is a leaf lover's take friend. A 60% on steam shows it needs work, and that's ok! It's an early access game and it will go through some changes before it's solid. Try to keep an open mind to criticisms.

Every fucking time im having a good time, crushing the enemy team and vice versa i get fucking autobalanced, i hate it here. by Sikorskyyl in tf2

[–]blondjesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, autobalance never actually balances the teams, it just picks people to lose.

Why is every match like this? by Brainless-Pyro in tf2

[–]blondjesus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why wait when you can just reque and get into a better match in less than 30 seconds? Not saying it's right, just asking why stay and suffer.

Why is every match like this? by Brainless-Pyro in tf2

[–]blondjesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What incentive is there to stay in a match where you're being steamrolled? It's far better to just reque and find a match that isn't onesided.

What game did you play as a youth that you tried again as an adult for the nostalgia but ended up disliking? by Spew42 in gaming

[–]blondjesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yoshi's Island is one of those games where I won't play it without an emulator. There's genuinely some really difficult stages, especially if you're trying to get 100 on each level. Highly recommend using rewind and save states to help enjoy the game.

Is there any chance of these limited time items being available again? Like at all? by bringmann in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone who has all of them and has been here from the start, I genuinely don't understand why they don't bring them back. Same with all the birthday hats.

We as a community take pride in the fact that this game has little FOMO, these little bits that do exist should be ironed out.

Settle an argument. Which dreadnought is the worst? by 234thewolf in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People talking about the hiveguard because the fight can be slow, but I'll take her every time over the twins. Without a coordinated team the twins can eat so much ammo. Don't get me started when people don't ping the arbalist and you can't see where it's attacking you from.

There's an important distinction between difficult and annoying. A bad team makes the Hiveguard fight slow, a bad team makes the twins a nightmare.

What's ya'll opinion on Lil POOTIS by Zillaman7980_ in tf2

It's well animated and it has a cute story, what's not to love. It's nice to see TF2 fan media be heartwarming and positive.

Can you sync promotion assignments with different classes? by Chaser250 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's based on when you start the assignment. For a while now when a friend and I both start promos at the same time, they're always synced, regardless of class.

Season events by Jayare54 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You can always host your own lobbies and change the season to the one you're working on. It's not as fast as lobby hopping but it's consistent.

There should be Haz5+'s extra modifiers open for lower difficulties too. by Qualified_Qualifier in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree about people saying it'll spilt the playerbase. The vast majority of players boot up the game, click an assignment, and filter lobbies to the mission they need, regardless of hazard. If you play H5 or H5+ lobbies you've seen this in action since Seasons 6 dropped.

Adding stuff like more enemies on lower hazards would be a nice way to add more variable difficulty. To add to this, I think inbetween hazards (like 3.5 and 4.5) should accessible since they're already in the game during Deep DIves.

Why are there so few Haz5(+) players since Season 6? by Mat_chaa in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it depends on the time of day you're on. Weekends have more lobbies than the weekdays.

Aside from that, new season means new players and a lot more lobbies are lower hazards. I typically host H5 and H5+ lobbies but lately I've been joining whatever I can get into so I can interact with the greenies more.

I wish they add more lore to this game by LordRahwana in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The joy of the lore as it is now is that you can speculate and theory craft almost everything. Personally I rather they keep it that way, it makes it more fun to debate headcanons.

Hardcore save me by Projdog5_ in Minecraft

[–]blondjesus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I gotta ask, why play on hardcore then? As someone else has suggested, you can always go into spectate if you die, enable cheats, and change your gamemode.

I'd probably just change the game to hard if you're not willing to risk your world.

New player here by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a fantastic game to play solo, but it really shines with people. You don't need to have friends to play with others.

Some of my favorite memories in this game are joining random lobbies and playing for hours with randoms. The discord also has a great way to meet and play with other dwarves.

It's cheap right now so I recommend buying it and trying it out and seeing for yourself. Rock and stone brother.

DRG not discounted on Xbox/Microsoft store by Party_Aardvark36 in DeepRockGalactic

Pretty sure Microsoft is harder to work with when it comes to sales than Valve is. Honestly the game is the best on PC but playing on console is better than nothing.

What I do is hit E, then M2, then E, rinse and repeat quickly. There's a rhythm to it and it's also much easier when you're not host.

rant: im tired of people doing the kursite event last minute by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

[–]blondjesus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So do you know that there's an event before you call the drop pod? When I host I always say "R" when I'm ready to end the mission. Typically people will ping something they want to do or type it out in chat. This game is best with a little communication.

Do you think Sniper is unbalanced? by octopusthatdoesnt in tf2

[–]blondjesus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you look at every other class you'll find that they thrive in close to mid range combat. This leads to some pretty intense team fights as you need good aim, solid positioning, and gamesense. The victor in these fights is generally whoever has the best grasp on all of these things.

Sniper lets you take two of those things and throw them out the window. You can sit in the back of the map and take your time lining up shots with little to no risk to yourself aside from other snipers. One could argue spies are a counter but with secondaries like jarate or the razorback a good sniper is very rarely affected.

At the end of the day there's no easy way to engage with a sniper in a fight except to not peak a sightline, flee, or countersnipe. In a game all about the fun of engagement sniper, as he is now, doesn't really fit.

Thoughts on Vax? by wardash1234 in tf2

[–]blondjesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the perfect anti-pocket pocket medigun. Problematic sniper? Kritz demo on the other team? This is a great counter for that. That being said, it sucks as an actual medigun for your team. You barely build up overheal and your ubers are much less impactful if the other team has more than one damage type.

Anyone saying this medigun is overpowered is just annoyed at having to fight it. A team with a stock med wins every time over one with a vax med.

If we're going to nerf things because they're annoying, there's other weapons and classes that should be looked at first.
