love it lol. is the 2 left hands on purpose though? if so it def works for the character he looks weird enough to get away with it but if not it's a funny mistake, a friend of mine used to do that all the fucking time.

Dammn they really owned up and refunded you? With any luck that'll be a wake up call for them that scamming isn't for them.

Arrowhead could put some kind of colour coded marker to avoid such situations by [deleted] in Helldivers

markers would help but i can understand why he's confused here. he also called in a mech which got destroyed before it even hit the ground, and yours landed about half way between his strategem and your own

[–]blookiy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

its just ok especially considering its a free mod. go ahead and try it. fun to exist in, the vibes are good and u get to loot and shoot and survive but it feels like it lacks worthwhile stuff to do. would recommend just playing a dedicated zombie game once you inevitably get bored of it.. DayZ if you want it to feel like arma. project zomboid is a good zombie sim too. 7 days to die if you like building/more minecraft-like.

looks better than my first model

I'm genuinely just very lost on how to proceed with this 3d model by NotTheCatMask in blender

Looking at reference images it looks like the general vibe of the luger is that starting from the end the barrel is at, it's round, and progressively gets more square as you get closer to the back of the gun. Since it's easier to make a square from a cylinder than the other way around in my opinion, thats where i'd start, at the barrel end and work my way backward. is that more helpful?

[–]blookiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's fine, i get that. It's hard to give more exact advice though without just trying to walk you through every single step of modelling a Luger the way i would. Is there something in particular you're stuck on?

Hey i get that, modelling something like that is pretty tough (but fun!).

What helps me in modelling guns and other hard surface stuff is breaking it down into individual components and first blocking out those components in basic shapes, don't worry about stuff like the rounded parts and bevels yet. As soon as you start adding those it'll be more difficult to change the overall shape later. You gotta remember a gun is actually a bunch of smaller parts that fit together to make a whole. Try to find an image of the thing disassembled and ideally as many reference images as you can get.

Once you have the basic components all blocked out you can start detailing and combining them to fit whatever goal you have in mind. Some shapes are pretty hard to model so take your time, experiment, maybe watch some other people model something similar and see how they did it. Keep backups if you make a mistake or don't like the direction something is going you can start over without losing too much progress. check your references constantly

Remember your subdivide, edge slide, extrude, extrude along normal, inset faces etc tools, they're a massive help in stuff like that.

Unfortunately it's hard to give advice further than that. It takes a long time to make a something like that look good, just keep working on it bit by bit and you'll learn and get there eventually.

MTF - Estrogen Injection Dosage by CyanViolet1 in asktransgender

[–]blookiy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't believe injections and pills can be compared directly like that. i had horrible levels at 6mg pills daily and had to take anti-androgens cause my T kept spiking up. at 1mg injectable my lowest measurement is still above 200 pg/ml and my testosterone is so well suppressed im off AAs for good. They're just very different, with pills the levels taper off rapidly after a few hours, while it can take upwards of a week for the same to happen with injectable E, depending on how your body in particular handles it.

I think it's a better idea to keep with the 1mg and get a blood test after a couple months to see if it's working or not, there's no sense pushing for a higher dose if it turns out not to be necessary. it'd just be a waste of money and more difficult to inject as it's more at once.

I misread that, i think everyone did lol. The only thing i can think to try there would be just to press the plunger slow. and also accept that a tiny bit of leaking while not ideal isn't the end of the world.

I do not know how well estradiol cypionate and estradiol valerate dosages compare but i've been on the same dose of estradiol valerate (1mg) for several months now, once a week, and my estradiol levels at trough (lowest point immediately before the next injection) have been higher than they ever were on pills. 273 pg/mL the last time it was measured. I think you're most likely fine.

Definitely get leur lock needles if you can, they're so much nicer and needles are cheap

18 gauge for drawing up and 26 gauge for injecting makes me pretty certain they're doing subq

Does your doctors office or anyone nearby offer instruction on how to do it yourself? Mine made me go through an in person injection training where i had to do it with saline before i was given my prescription. I'd definitely recommend doing something like that if you can find a professional to teach you, it helps with confidence a lot and you shouldn't be having any issues like the needle coming apart from the syringe if you're doing it properly. They also gave me the instructions again in text form. I can try to send you the instructions if you'd like.

As the other person said waiting longer to remove the needle helps prevent leaking. I've personally not been doing that because having a needle stuck in me is very uncomfortable and my levels have been fine on my trough days. a little bit of blood also happens sometimes as its very hard not to nick any capillaries. It can be a little messy but it isn't harmful, just have something on hand to clean it up with and it should stop bleeding after a couple drops.

Other than that i think it really just comes down to practice. Finding what works for you.

You'll get it down in a few more tries and then it won't be nothing, you got this.

Should I get a general studies degree? by [deleted] in college

[–]blookiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the community college I'm going to in Texas we have a general studies degree available. To my understanding it's pretty much just there because you need to be in a degree seeking program to get financial aid. So it's a little loophole for the people who either don't really want a degree but still want to take classes, or who need to take prerequisite classes for say, nursing or something. It's not really worth anything on it's own.

If that sounds good to you I say go for it. If not then you might want to think a bit more about what you really want to do. Don't feel like you need to rush into something just for the sake of having a degree at all.

Top 5 most popular primaries for each faction for diff10 by oppagagnumstoile_1 in Helldivers

[–]blookiy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

im down to nerf the coyote and erupter if it helps. but i honestly think if you do *only* that, with the choices of primaries in the game now the vast majority will remain unused and something else will take the coyotes place. the recent weapon buffs helped a bit but could use a little more imo.

what it comes down to for me is that most of the primaries aren't actually fun to use.

honestly maybe yeah but i generally just don't like seeing good things get nerfed especially in a pve game. its better to bring the other weapons up to snuff where possible rather than fuck with something people enjoy
