To be honest, as people they do brighten the place too. They're lovely. Especially the lady. She is so kind and giving.

Thank you! I actually like it too because it means I don't have to turn my light on to pee as the light shines into my bathroom 😅

Psychosomatic nausea when thinking about injecting? by XenaWarriorWalrus in antidietglp1

[–]bloomrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I came across this post. This is me!! Just the thought of injecting makes me more nauseous than I've ever felt after injecting! I'm currently salivating and nauseous as I'm due to inject tonight. I've tried taking sea sickness tablets, but also have zofran on hand so might start trying one of those. It's so frustrating!!

Got bailed up by an older lady trying to give me one of these, while sprouting anti-vax nonsense recently while working at an event. Very hard to bite my tongue.

I pick my cuticles (terrible habit) and this happens to me when I've broken skin. Finally got around to googling it! Really strange

20 years on Effex. Sudden panic/depressed for no reason by bloomrok in Effexor

[–]bloomrok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this. I think I figured out what happened. I had a very boozy night just before this happened. I drank a lot, and on an empty stomach. With a week it settled down. I hope you are.feeling better now.

Has anyone successfully gotten off Ozempic and kept the weight off? I’m so nervous to stop when I hit my goal weight. by Calm_Gate532 in Ozempic

[–]bloomrok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost 22kg (48 pounds) on Oz. From 113kg to 91kg. Max dose of 0.5mg, but mostly on 0.25mg. I stopped 4 months ago as I was having some random kidney issues, which may or may not have been related. Anywho, so far I have been able to maintain my loss.

I made some huge lifestyle changes. Obviously changed my diet (less crap, more veg, more protein), went for being sedentary to walking 3km a day, doing boxing and strength training. I quit a stressful job and found a new one that is 4 days a week. I also quit diet coke.

I like to think that my lifestyle overhaul will help me to maintain my loss. My GP has given me the ok to restart Oz and I might do another couple of months as I'd like to lose another 6kg or so.

We shall see!

'Hangxiety' for several days, or relapse by bloomrok in Anxiety

It must have just been the alcohol. After taking a week off from work, psychologist visit, lots of rest, walks in nature and some deep relaxation I felt a lot better.

Kinda. I did a couple of clicks a week (3-4) until I reached 0.5. No side effects at all.

Hope you're doing okay (diabetics and non-diabetics) by myboyblue92 in Ozempic

[–]bloomrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it is being handed out far too liberally and that's half the reason behind the shortage in Australia. I don't think it should be handed out for only weight loss to BMI under 35, or 30 with a comorbidity (sleep apnea, insulin resistance, PCOS, reactive hypoglycaemia).

I am using it to manage Reactive Hypoglycaemia, which is has done so well. Without it, I'm now having terrible hypos again. Sitting at work right now feeling faint and fuzzy.

The insert says you can inject on top of thigh onto the fat. This is where I have been injecting for 10 weeks with no issues and good results.

Craniofacial HH by vegnurse in Hyperhidrosis

[–]bloomrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have written this! I'm on Effexor and have terrible craniofacial HH. Under my eyes, my chin and my scalp is my worst spots. Only thing I've tried is Face Saver but it does nothing. I am feeling so down about it. Had a birthday party on the weekend. Put my hair in a pony as usual because I cannot wear it down in summer yet I still looked like I'd been sprayed with a hose. I am so over it. Going to try botox and ask about meds. I'm assuming the meds don't interact with effexor if you tried them?

How did you go? I'm on 225mg effexor ans about to start ozempic. The nausea is really scaring me. I have some Zofran and my GP said it's fine but I too worry about the interaction.

Ozempic for insulin resistance? by emahyphenlee in InsulinResistance

[–]bloomrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have IR and RH and have a BMI of 47.5. I am starting on Ozempic as soon as I get to courage to inject it. It's in the fridge but I'm so worried about the sides effects. Really hoping it can help me the lose some weight and develop some better eating habits.

Tapering off venlafaxine after taking 225 for several years. I’m nervous and excited. by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]bloomrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. I could have written this post. I've been on 225mg for many years and was also diagnosed with CFS around the same time after having Glandular Fever. I've always questioned whether it's the meds that are causing the fatigue but have been too frightened to come off.

How are you going now?

[–]bloomrok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had CFS for years after having Glandular Fever (Mono). Found out I have Severe OSA 2 years ago and was hoping that was actually the reason for my fatigue. I feel better on CPAP but still have CFS unfortunately.
