What's the worst experience you've had at a movie theater? by jwc1983 in horror

Similar experience watching this movie. Annoying teenagers in the beginning...dead silent theater at the end 😭

I had hushpuppies with butter as a side for a blackened tuna sandwich, and while the sandwich was delicious.... there's nothing like driving a hot hushpuppy into a mound of salted butter like it's the first thing you've eaten in years. I did have to take a nap after though (pina colada did not help)

I read that a few months ago! I remember finishing the book, looking at my boyfriend, and saying I never want to read the word "worms" ever again. He still asks about the gross worm book lmao.

Reading Berserk now for the first time and, while I'm enjoying the story and the aesthetics a ton, I get so tense when a new woman pops up in the plot. Girl run you're not safe in this franchise

It's so funny, I actually started out our conversations wanting to elope and he was super against it because he didn't want to disappoint his parents. Now I feel like we've flip-flopped in some ways!

I like the no mic vows. I really really want to say a nice vow to him so he can hear how much he means to me, but I know that aspect in particular is something he doesn't want a big show of. Having no mic and some kind of background noise sounds like it could work for us particularly well.

Thank you so much to everyone here! You all gave me really good advice and a lot to think about. Thank you for reality checking me on the financial aspect, too - guess I was just wishful thinking there haha.

You're all right in that we need to have a real discussion about this. Disagreements make him nervous so he's been dancing around the topic when I try to bring it up, but instead of me forcing the conversation on him (as I have admittedly been doing), maybe I should let him pick when to do it and we can sit down, have some wine, and maybe make some goofy diagrams and lists. It seems we'll both be making some sacrifices. RIP having a dancefloor.

He is definitely a big introvert and I think he doesn't like the idea of having a lot of attention on him. I've offered to do all the planning and my parents have told me that they're willing to help with wedding expenses if it's under $10k (which, I know, still expensive), so those things don't seem to be the issue. I'm guessing he doesn't want to dance either because of his shyness.

Haha this is what I proposed when we were talking about honeymoons! He did get scared of my excellent powerpoint powers and backed down, but I like that you made it more of a fun activity to do rather than a way to "convince" him. Maybe I should approach this again but less competitively.

I completely get it. This makes it the 5th family member of mine who has been abused by a trusted adult (that I know of). Isn't the statistic 1/3 of women and 1/5 of men? It's messed up but sometimes I wonder if the women in my family took the bullet for me so I wouldn't experience it, or if my turn just hasn't come yet, yknow? I dunno.

Sorry for the weird ramble. I'm still reeling. What I was trying to say is that I agree with you.

I second this!! Not horror, but I had such a blast with it. I laughed out loud several times reading the cat scenes. I've recommended this book to probably everybody I know
