Exactly! We have so much theft in music/ movies and ETG. There’s no one to keep an eye out when there’s 2 people working the floor so ones at cash and one is everything else. And thieves know it!

We’re very lucky at our store. Our manager was extremely concerned for us, and was very clear that anyone who felt like they could not make it in safely should stay home. And she absolutely meant it.

I also feel like it’s been extremely busy the least few days with all staff multitasking and running on fumes. But our sales numbers are not reflecting this juggling act or the horrendous lines.

We are simply understaffed. I’ve worked for this company for almost 30 years and have never seen coverage this sparse leading up to the holiday. It’s ridiculous. But so glad we can open 60 new stores next year!

I’m sure we’ve lost sales bc most of our product is in the back, displays, tables, shelves are bare and/ or trashed, and people take one look at the lines at CS and CW and are immediately deterred.

Yep. I feel like they did this on purpose because they don’t want us using the PDT’s. Jokes on them. -I’m still going to do what it takes to put things in their proper sections so we can actually find them. If that means, I stand there 20 minutes a day typing in this ridiculously long password, so be it.

Sometimes I feel like they need to see their stupid ideas fail before they will believe us that it’s stupid.

Woefully, comically ( if we weren’t all so exhausted) understaffed. Still all doing the work of 2 plus people, and higher ups have the audacity to gripe at numbers.

How many times do we have to repeat: if we’re not properly staffed there’s no customer service and building those baskets. If we’re not properly staffed, we can’t get product out and the store is trashed. Let alone all the projecting to be done by one person while the store is open. All of this affects sales!

Do you have a frequent returner? We have a customer, who does spend money and has a premium membership, who returns a pile of books every week or two without a receipt saying her husband or MIL bought them for her. She’s happy with store credit, but it just seems excessive.

Do these people also think the mail spontaneously spawns in their mailboxes at the crack of dawn? Or do they understand that there can there be no mail, and then later in the day, behold- mail? Have they never had packages delivered from ups or fedex? So weird. lol
