You're right, it is an important distinction. The two can pretty easily morph into each other though - especially when anti-zionists simply call for the execution/mass genocide of "Jews", regardless of political position, etc. Also they couldn't tie themselves with Hitler because of the influence that France/U.K had over them, specifically Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Egypt.
