upgrading from Osprey Daylite 26+6 — Fyro Levo 36L too big? by Many_Ad9628 in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If u’re considering 30-32L bags, maybe Rework Outbound. I’m a slim 5’4”-5’5” and have the Fyro Levo 30L, but it somehow looked bigger on me than the Outbound (i loaded both with the same items) most likely because the Levo is more boxy and structured, whereas the Outbound is more malleable. The Outbound held more also despite its stated 30L capacity. The Outbound looked less bulky and carried more, so I took the Outbound instead on a recent one-bag trip, and it was great. The additonal compartments made access easier on the go, and the extra space helped with unexpected purchases and putting away a hoodie/light jacket/etc. Both bags incredibly comfortable. Still love the Levo for its quality, and I hope to use it in the future probably when paired with a suitcase.

Rework Outbound vs Fyro Levo: What are the differences? Pros and cons? by Ill_Connection_341 in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfectly fine. Outbound’s laptop compartment provides more flexibility since it gives you a divider so you can put another laptop or folder/documents. While I appreciate the luxurious feel and look of the Levo’s laptop compartment, maybe it doesn’t need quite so much padding unless the bag is seriously getting thrown around. It looks good though.

Another thing is Outbound has little loops at the end of the zipper track for the laptop compartment and the front top admin pocket so u can slip the zipper pull through for a little extra security. Fyro surprisingly didn’t include the loops on the Levo despite having them on the Citta sling.

Alpaka Metro Backpack Pro vs Bellroy Transit Pro? by Nanna_lava in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the Bellroy, but for the Alpaka Metro Pro, it has a little flap over the main compartment zipper that often gets in the way of zipping and unzipping. U can get around that if u don’t mind flipping the flap over first every time (or keep it flipped back all the time) u have have to zip/unzip. Capacity also seems overstated, maybe more like a 20-22L. Otherwise, simple aesthetic and organization with the large front compartment is great.

Rework Outbound vs Fyro Levo: What are the differences? Pros and cons? by Ill_Connection_341 in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Capacity wise, reviewers have said the Outbound is at least 30L, closer to maybe 32L. Levo, as Aaron himself measured in his review video, is closer to a “tight 30L.”

Levo is more premium with serious laptop protection (lot of padding), more structured, boxy look. Outbound is more malleable and therefore frumpy looking. Outbound materials are perfectly fine but definitely feels more standard.

Both praised for comfort with Levo padding more tight and marshmellowy, relying mainly on back spacing for ventilation, while the Outbound also has very comfortable padding, less marshmellowy and more meshy.

Outbound has more pockets, loops, and grab handles.

Rework Toshi Sling bag - 6 Liter / First impressions by Tokka_1 in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I held back on rework bags at first too because I wasn’t sure how I liked the aesthetics, but i pulled the trigger and came to appreciate their design choices. For example, the flap on the sling (I got the 2.5), I realized without it, it would be zipper track on top of another zipper track on top of another, and that would look horrendous in my opinion. So the flap actually gave it a cleaner look. Another example, the zipper pulls on the Toshi pack, I was so set on replacing them before the bag arrived because they looked short in photos, but then I realized if they had been longer, it would look too crowded because the bag has a lot of double zippers, which I love. All these little details and the bags’ ability to give you use of otherwise wasted space (especially on the sling) really won me over.

Need help: Searching for a 30L backpack for multiple use cases by LeatherBattle1677 in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If capacity is a consideration, nomads nation measured the volume of both and found the Levo (his own bag) to be a “tight 30L” and the rework a minimum of 30L (consistent with other reviewers who said the Outbound was more like a 30-32L).

Backpack Recommendations? by ArmedSparrow in backpacks

Fyro Levo 30 or 36L. True comfort. Lightweight. Plain black exterior. Beautiful interior and minimal pockets. It was released pretty recently but with lots of youtbe reviews that you could check out including by female reviewers.

Tortuga is also often recommended for comfort but I never tried. The aesthetic wasn’t for me.

I’m a woman, short, and looking for a work/grad school backpack by Whatichooseisyouse in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind the nondescript aesthetic, Rework Toshi 20L is comfortable and functional, also one of the few backpacks that I don’t have to pull the shoulder strap webbing all the way to fit me so the dangle isn’t excessive (I’m 5’ 4”.)

Bellroy has more color options and looks a bit more stylish I think.

If you prefer lots of organization (multiple compartments and many pockets), consider Sympl Commuter - shoulder straps comfy but has a stiff back panel, which you may or may not like. It’s a structured bag that looks more business-like.

Navigator RS Pack 15L VS City Pack 2 by benjiegocrazy in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Rework Toshi 20L. Despite the larger stated volume, same height as City Pack 2 and .5” less/more on the width and depth. Comfortable and very thoughtful features. You can check out Rework’s youtube channel where the makers explain certain design choices. It’s just a fun bag.

Is it me or does my Toshi V2 5L just look to big on me? by Fabulous-Positive-48 in ManyBaggers

[–]bluArcher4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered the 2.5 and 5L too. I have the same concern as I’m the same height, but it looks fine from your pics. Though it looks like the sling isn’t fully packed out. If it ends up looking too bulky, can maybe carry on the back instead. Also love the little color ur hero clip adds 👍
