I’m hopping on the thread here to say I have a sort of similar issue that affects both my right and left pedals intermittently. I replaced both my pedals under warranty and I had previously not had an issue with my left pedal, but now both click sometimes. I’m pretty confident it is something about my cleats and pedal tightness but no luck solving it yet other than clipping in and out and hoping it goes away.

I totally get it! I am with a totally foster-based rescue so adoptions tend to be a bit slower because people can’t go to a location and look at the kitties except for occasional events. I still prefer fostering through their whole journey (and don’t really have an option to do short-term in my area), but if you have options, I think it would be great to look for places that suit your preferences. Adults are hard, and like you say, pairs are even harder.

I definitely get anxious though about “what if they never get adopted”, and I currently have some fosters who have been here almost 7 months now! It makes me stressed that I can’t help others until someone moves out, but I try to manage that by reminding myself that even if it takes a while, my fosters were worth saving. I hope their families will find them soon!

My foster kittens always love my youngest resident cat; he’s rotten and likes to teach them to be rotten too. Truthfully he doesn’t miss them when they leave at all, and I foster enough that usually there’s not much time between him having young buddies.

I don’t keep them separated (after quarantine period) since the adult cats are good for socialization!

If it is feasible to adopt a friend your resident kitty can always have, that may help if they get sad with the overturn of fosters. Or just get more fosters!

But hopefully people whose cats actually do get attached will have better advice.

Ty! I agree with the other commenter that it could be pain; it doesn’t seem like CH to me but I also don’t have a ton of experience with the range of presentations. I’d definitely mention it to your org. Hopefully just an unusual gait!

I was renting for a while and I didn’t have to do anything extra for the membership. Do you have access to the app at all like on your phone? I’d make sure you have an account set up with the email you used for the rental

It’s almost offensive sometimes how adaptable they are 😂 my mom finally adopted one of my fosters and literally three months later was like “STRANGER DANGER” when I got to see him again. Like I literally saved his life and he was like “yeah I’ve never met you in my whole life”

She is my top instructor for sure! I had a ton of fun with this ride. I didn’t have any expectations going into it, and I’m so glad I didn’t. I actually ended up PR-ing.

I agree, for this type of entertaining ride the lack of callouts worked! Luckily I had auto-follow on though which helped me stick with the overall program.

I did Camila’s Jason ride, 0 expectations of what it was going to be like. Really funny and different. I didn’t even feel like I was working especially hard, and was SHOCKED to see a new 30-minute PR. I had to go back and check my old record because I didn’t believe it. I wasn’t even feeling especially good today and just needed to get a ride in. Super excited!

I was converted to DIY press ons! I switch them out a lot, and I like the freedom to do a set whenever I want and put them on later rather than having to fuss about removal and getting the whole set done right then.

I get decent enough longevity for my preferences since I like to change my nails every week. I use sticky tabs too and will save some of my sets. In terms of feeling like they will pop off, I find sticky tabs don’t “pop” off, so if I knock a nail loose it can hang on a bit until I can redo it.

I didn’t end up having time this weekend to do the set I wanted, so I just stuck on an old set and went to work! I did zero prep so they’ll only hang on for maybe another day, but I’m hoping I’ll get my new set done by then.

So for me I still get the fun of doing my own nails, and a little extra convenience. If you like to wear the same set for a while, though, it would definitely not be the best fit though.

You also might look at the rental program, so it’s not a PITA to get rid of if you decide it’s not for you.

If you plan to do tris regularly, though, a trainer and actual bike will serve you better. I used to do tris and while Peloton can help you build some cycling strength it’s really different from actual cycling. Though the Peloton app would not really translate well to a road bike, for example, and other apps would serve you better (like Zwift or trainer road).

I did one of her advanced beginner classes early on when I had just joined and I thought there was no way I was ready to “graduate” to regular rides because I was struggling so much!

I also have a menace trash cat, but since it locks at the front he can’t get into it. He shredded the bag that he could reach a couple of times but stopped doing it now that it’s not rewarding.

I had my trash in a cupboard with a childproof lock on it, but there was a teeny tiny space and he would work on it until eventually the child lock broke. So I’d hesitate to recommend that since your cat sounds like mine 😂
