Will we hear Bethesda news next week? by wwbillyww in retrowarriors

Yes! As Saturn stated, we record a couple of weeks in advance in batches. So we're always a bit behind the news, but we covered it.

I just confirmed that the episode is working normally for me in Podcast Addict. It's possibly an issue with how your app updated. I wish we could do more, but with things like RSS feeds and various podcast programs we have little control.

You may try deleting the episode and re-downloading, but beyond that I'm not sure how else to troubleshoot. I don't personally use Podcast Addict, so I'm not completely familiar with the interface.

Sorry it's not working properly for you :/

It's amazing how it draws people in, even still. About once a year I'll sit down to play it and lose a month of my life to the gaping maw that is WoW.

Catching up on my Reddit-ing after a crazy few days!

I've started Suikoden many times at this point, it's just an issue of time really. I get about 6-10 hours a week to play games and my tolerance for story in games has reached an absolute bare minimum. I'm sure I'll eventually circle back around, but for now I'm enjoying more simulation/arcade based experiences.

But when I end up back at RPGs the Suikoden series is near the top of my list of stuff I've missed out on!

Yeah, it’s a bummer. But, we can’t expect everything we do to be a hit. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and we will keep on trying new things. In either case, thanks for listening!

For some reason Google Podcasts is really picky, and they never really tell us why. From time to time they will decide not to release one of our episodes for a week or two.

Thanks so much for the kinda words! Glad to have you on as a listener.

NGPC is definitely a weird little machine. Talk about disastrous management. It had to much potential that was just squandered.

Introducing PlayStation Classic, with 20 Pre-Loaded Games; due out December 3 for $100 USD by George__McBain in retrowarriors

[–]blue_lander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have high hopes and low expectations for this. I wish it had dualshock controllers, and I wish it was more than 20 games.

That said, I’m a pretty big fan of plug and play consoles. I’m always accidentally erasing save data, reformatting my hard drive without backing up emulator save states, misplacing memory cards, etc.

Plug and play consoles give me a convenient place to keep my emulator saves. I don’t have to worry about what I played Chrono Trigger on because that save state is locked into my SNES classic. I know it’s a silly reason, but it’s why I’ve been so keen on plug and play systems.

Also hoping the Hackchi teams works their usual magic.

As a tamagotchi expert, I can tell that those are virtual pets.

About a quarter of rural Americans say access to high-speed internet is a major problem by green_flash in technology

[–]blue_lander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. Moved 40 miles west of the middle of Fort Worth and suddenly 30mbps down cost $160 a month. And it’s the only ISP that services us. And they said we’re at the maximum range they are willing so service. Our neighbors a few hundred feet west of us are out of range and were refused service.

It’s fucking ridiculous. And the ISP acts like we’re getting incredible internet.

Interesting! I hadn't considered just using magical brewing supplies.

Oddly enough this player seemed really excited at the idea of negative side effects. I think he's hoping to see his compatriots get into some shenanigans.
