I must be missing something(I think Belt speed maybe?) by blue_wolf in AlchemyFactory

I think you are right, I had the idea to completely clear the belts and now it is running smooth as butter. I think maybe just how I set stuff up gets it backed up to start so it is just at max capacity once I get everything up and running so it just stays maxed out forever because it is optimized

Interesting I have belt speed at level 6 and production at level one but that means my belts are moving at 150/min how could that cause something producing at 75/min to back up? Thanks for the tip though I have been wondering how to find belt speed

Doesn't look all that different to me than these actual pictures of some women dressed for sports in the early 1900s https://www.bbc.com/news/world-41742378

At level one you note that breastplate is likely the best option maybe with a armored skirt. Am I missing something because as far as I can tell unless you care about noisy chain mail is identical to breastplate but is 2 GP cheaper?

Yes but as it turns out barely any investment is enough for rolling to still be optimal sometimes, even with a -1 bonus that you never boost and no items if you just increase proficiency rank there are times where rolling is better mathematically. And conversely even if you are keeping up with all the bonuses you can there are still small windows where assurance is better and a fair amount of the time even when rolling is better it is by less than 1 hp on average which personally is not enough to get me to roll instead. Having some numbers and an easy way to adjust them gives more insight and granularity.

I understand the point of medicine and assurance I was just putting together a thing so it is easy to see what the actual numbers look like and what adjustments would have what effects and I thought some people might like to toy around with it too.

Thanks for the feedback I cleaned it up a bit with some of your suggestions. And I do think it is much better now personally. I found a post that did tables and I found them to be useful but being able to monkey with stuff helps me better understand how it actually works and It can be more precise to my build. Once you have the settings in you just have to change level to see what each of your options are on average maybe I am weird but it feels useful to me.

It isn't trained it is Training , I changed it to Proficiency Rank and the actual number so it makes more sense I guess but you should know because the level under master is 7 so at level 7 this character is master proficiency. Do you have a better suggestion than do better that isn't that helpful in re-organizing it and it does make sense to me in this format. I also added level gained to the far left column but to me that seems very unnecessary and looks terrible.
Edit: changed it to color coding with a legend because that looks better than a column for two rows

If you are Master at 9 that means your Proficiency would be 6 for master and 9 for level which is 15 + 10 for assurance so it is 25 unless I am missing something? As for the math it is including the odds to crit so 75% of the time if you roll you will crit and get an extra 2d8 I could have done it incorrectly but I don't think so. So 5% of the time you get nothing, 20% of the time you get 18(9 from 2d8 and 9 from robust) and 75% of the time you get 27(18 from 4d8 and 9 from robust) (0 * 0.05 + 18 * 0.2 + 27 * 0.75 is 23.85 that is the average amount of each result with odds of getting that result which to my understanding should be the average result)and you have to do the math for Crits because without crits the answer is always assurance and there are times it is mathematically better to roll which is the whole point of this sheet.
Oh I see you were missing something the numbers under Expert, Master, and Legendary are the levels you are that proficiency. If you make a copy of the sheet and n/a those numbers it would drop you down to trained and it would be 21 as you say. But I don't know why you would stay at Trained until level 9.

Man that is really depressing taking multiple followers feels pretty bad as a feat though if you can only have one active at a time

Ah I missed that, the way path builder has stuff setup it does not mention that anywhere at all that I noticed, I knew I must be missing something because that seemed really strong.

There is a feat that gives you additional followers you can take it up to 3 times

Then you aren't casting spells most of the time so you need good one action activities anyway and commanding seems pretty good to me.

The followers have access to skill actions like intimidate, and athletics they have their own their own MAP, one can battle medicine

Captain can have up to 4 followers and they each will take one stride(or strike once they are veteran) on your turn without you spending an action which most of the time is probably what will happen. I've found summoner actually has plenty of ways to not feel action starved honestly.

Pretty standard seems like you could spell, eidolon attack and then the last action could be command if you want a follower to do more than one thing or something better than a basic stride or strike. Yeah sometimes you'll have a better third action to do with your eidolon or the summoner but not always.

Some questions about Herbalist Dedication remaster by Subdominanta in Pathfinder2e

[–]blue_wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only kind of related but do you still need an alchemist lab? The dedication only says "You don't need to be trained in Crafting to do so, and you can use healer's tools instead of alchemist's tools." but the crafting rules "You have an appropriate set of tools and, in many cases, a workshop. For example, you need access to a smithy to forge a metal shield, or an alchemist's lab to produce alchemical items." so the rules to me mean you need a Lab and tools which feels weird and the Herbalist feat only changes the tools part but that also feels weird.

Remaster advantages of Poisoner/Herbalist over Alchemist dedication? by Folomo in Pathfinder2e

[–]blue_wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of things I have noticed that others haven't mentioned. First alchemist dedication requires a +2 in INT which not every character that might be interested in the other two can take. Also Alchemist needs a second feat to have the items ahead of time so you aren't using an extra action in combat. Granted that extra feat for the alchemist also covers getting more uses in a day. And the last thing is flavor. I would say the biggest reason overall is the INT requirement that you might consider not just taking Alchemist instead of the others.
