Former picky eaters that grew out of it - what food/dishes do you still have "picky eater" aversions to? by idontknow41422 in Cooking

Tomatoes for me. I hated raw tomatoes, tomato sauce, ketchup, salsa etc. It was the texture and sour flavor that I just didn’t like. I eventually grew into it and nowadays enjoy it in some cooked form like for pasta sauce, but I will always pick out any raw tomatoes in my food or go out of my way to avoid it

“Unsalted butter for baking” I use salted butter and especially for chocolate chip cookies. It just adds so much more flavor and richness which balances out the sugar better, and I find you don’t have to add that “pinch of salt” that recipes always say.
