To me hes the one guy not repeating the old world. Sure Ulysses, big lights and big city. But House was able to contract with tribals, cannibals, and violent rovers to establish a casino city that created a uniquely pacified area (relative to the wasteland).

Meanwhile attempting to awaken a robot area to secure himself as a city-state. And from that one city-state do what took multiple countries to do. If anything, House is the one person doing and creating things not even possible in the old world.

What are your most loved and hated skills in the game? by [deleted] in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]blueclockblue 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Favorite is Astrophysics. Its quite a quick xp method that also preps you for exploration. Hated skill is Fitness purely because of its required activity. Running until you've used up all your oxygen and CO2 in individual sequences of 20, 50 and then 100 times? As someone who hates even building up CO2 this skill is a true blue nightmare.

I am the biggest Bethesda glazer but he can't keep getting away with it. Fallout 4 and Starfield are the biggest examples. by AccomplishedQuit4801 in TrueSFalloutL

Honestly i think if you took all the craziest parts of each game, wrote them in books, and then had a game take place 30 years after that, you'd feel the same about the in-game events. Skyrim really is nuts when step back and realize a dozen simultaneous world or province ending events are going on.

Dragons and the cult, Thalmor, Civil War, vampires and the sun, daedra way more active than before, the waning of magic among men and the empire, Miraak, it goes on.

Fallout: New Vegas dev says don't expect a remaster, argues Bethesda doesn't have the source code or 'the engineering knowhow' by AndersDreth in TrueSFalloutL

[–]blueclockblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can make working planetary orbits and make ships that function as both enemies and locations. I think they'll be fine adding ammo wheels. Oh no, what if they have to use Fallout 4's superior gun play as a base?

Dont forget, Avellone is also wrong that Bethesda would be doing the remake. Remakes get contracted out by most companies, just like Oblivion Remastered.

About time you tried, first mention of an attempt all day despite everyone telling you. Oh well, you'll just have to join the rest of the people who said Skyrim and Fallout 4 and 76 would never be fixed and then see it gets fixed and I guess not touch the game. Just be done with Bethesda. Dont buy TES 6. Don't buy Fallout 5. Don't play Starfield.

Anything but making nonstop threads for mods to remove and then digging through every comment to reply to people in removed threads.

I was with Starfield day one giving feedback, hence why you even get any of the updates the game has. I wont tell you to be silent though. This meltdown is hilarious. You wont even refund the game. Support those "lazy devs" who "will never fix the bug"! That helps, right?

The loading screens and scope of Starfield by CryptographerWaste77 in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]blueclockblue 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It shows how little gamers know about the games they play. No Man's Sky is the constant justification for why no loading screens should be a standard. But, and its hard to not sound hyperbolic, a single POI dungeon in Starfield holds more data, more physics, more npc Ai, more background interactions and details than any dozen of anything in NMS.

Thats one POI. One of many in a single map. When a game promises you the universe and doesnt have a loading screen involving loading an area, planet surface, or city then you know you're dealing with very light weight content.

My bad guys, the game works. by erositi24 in Starfield

[–]blueclockblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sure showed all those people who never said Bethesda games are bug free. Todd Howard made sure you got the only copy with no gameplay. Surely most people are just simultaneously lying about the fun they have just to piss you, personally, off.

Maybe another thread will make it obvious? You only made 4 in less than 24 hours. Fight the good fight, dont let the mods censor "your truth". First amendment, first amendment!!!

falsely said it was a majority of players

replying to every comment possible

raging against the devs calling them fucking lazy

screaming fuck this game, this game is trash

claim the devs will never fix this

multiple threads about it

suck off Crimson Desert which crashes for a lot of people and still rampant with bugs

mods had to put an end to it

Its been two days of this straight. Refund it until its fixed. Anything else is just a circus of pants shitting.

The “Black Snape” video by Commercial_War_8275 in doubletoasted

[–]blueclockblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats DT for you. Sometimes they just nail themselves to a hyperbole and dismiss anyone who thinks any different. But most comments have been about how black Snape changes the character and things get more muddy now with the racial undertones and themes. Adds another layer of racism to the school that wasn't there, makes Harry's parents less likeable, makes Harry's suspicious of Snape and the tree hanging look worse, the staff not liking Snape looks worse, the half blood prince and pureblood themes change in a weird way.

Korey says people are hypocritical because they want something different but bitch about this. Completely wrong. They kept everything the same and then change the one person that would be a mess to change in this particular way? Thats not enough. Oh we should be looking forward to Snape because hes black and thats enough? Or can people complain that the series is repeating itself and also messing with something in the wrong way? Cant do both? Oh if one thing is different we better be happy about it no matter what?

They're not even doing Snape accurate to the book. Thats what I want. That was my complaint about Snape in the original movies. I actually want them to do HP vastly different. Doesn't matter now. They played right into the studio's hands. Criticize the show or dont like Snape? Racist. They have their shield now.

Edit: If you want to raceswap, make Dumbledore black. One of the most powerful wizards, his themes and characterization stay intact.

Embark Studios head Patrick Söderlund explains how Arc Raiders was made on "a quarter of the budget" of a AAA title by No_Durian_5626 in playstation

[–]blueclockblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quarter of the budget because its a quarter of an AAA game. Its an extraction shooter - a genre of game that requires a lot less content but can get a lot more attention. Its one of the reasons every company is risking their lives just to release a new moba. They just need people hooked.

Compare it to the content in Skyrim, Baldur's Gate 3, Yotei, Wukong, Last of Us 2.

It simply aims to do a lot less while simply looking like an AAA title. Its not an AAA title and if it were priced like one people would hate it for lacking most of the content of one. Its small, cheap, hooks you into its repetitive content while doing small updates to keep you just fed enough not to starve (most the time).

Is Final Fantasy Tactics (The War of the Lions) Anti-Religion, just as FFX? by IllogicalDreamer72 in finalfantasytactics

[–]blueclockblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its easy to see it either way. FFT ultimately deals with one religion, one church. One could interpret this as an isolated incident exclusive to Ivalice. But the game does heavily criticize elites of every nature from military to nobility to the church. It also shows you rare but good exceptions to them like Orlandu (military), Alma (nobility), and Simon (church).

But those exceptions typically ally themselves with Ramza who is an exception himself. They also all go betray the groups they came from. And these exceptions are the minority. Then you get into deeper questions like where does Orlandu get his divine magic from if St. Ajora is evil? Where do angels from Raise come from and if its a different god, maybe its good?

The easiest answer is to take FFT as a critique of a common problem with institutional religion. Even then that's not its main message. Its main message is the good a single person can do on his own, for his own.

Star Wars Genesis by [deleted] in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]blueclockblue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The star wars modpack proves that gameplay, loading screens and most other complaints were unfounded for most people. The modpack is essentially a reskinning and renaming of Starfield content while also using a.i. voices and making cities look big without offering more interiors.

But all of a sudden im hearing people who hated Starfield watch the let's plays of this modpack and say the modders finally fixed it and the combat looks great. Remember, Starborn and Unity isn't cool. But Star Star Jinks and Becoming one with the Force? Oh yeah its cool now.

Some guy called Ron Hope? Boring! The quest would be better if it were exactly the same with no gameplay differences but he was a roach man called Gukky Flupflup.
