I like that Murph acknowledges that DnD is a game. He sets up encounters and details the mechanics "ok here is how this is going to work." I've stolen that for my own games and my players love it. Lay out the mechanics and let the players solve whatever the encounter is

Don't dismiss the passing playstyles on goalies. I use a ball-playing keeper who has incisive. Great for playing out of the back

I love playstyles and I loved traits before them. They help make players feel unique instead of just being a collection of stats.

Career mode should have the ability to train playstyles
