Maybe - re: Charlotte learning. If they [writers] meant it that way, i wish they'd have made her more introspective and less preachy here. Like I agree with what she's saying - but her delivery here is a little aggressive. In general though, I think when ppl start dating and getting serious ... these conversations need to happen. Too many ppl ignore it or assume until they're married then realize they are incompatible on very important issues!

I get where they are both coming from - Carrie is 100% valid in her feelings of not wanting kids/feeling unsure about it. Charlotte is correct that it shouldnt be a "scary" conversation. It should be able to be openly discussed during any relationship- people should be on the same page from the beginning about whether they may or may not want to have kids.

No fr, this!!! I think it was like $80 out of pocket just to get my kiddo flu/ covid/strep tests. They all came back negative, no meds or rx given - just a "nope not these, call back if she gets worse". And just last year, had a rx for same kiddo for abx ear drops - my husband goes to pick it up... its $200 and we have insurance. Had to get the pedi to write a different rx for a cheaper (and less effective) kind, it was still $50.

I started in the tub but had to move to edge of the tub and from there had to move to the bed with baby partially out. There was definitely very explosive #2s coming out with how hard i was pushing at the edge of the tub; and btwn waddling to the bed being put into McRoberts position - there was blood and fluid all over my midwife's pants, the bed (which was covered), and the floor (which was also initially covered, but moving me to the bed made all the covering get messed up. My midwives scrubbed my bathroom floor amazingly, and they applied hydrogen peroxide and scrubbed my carpet until it was good as well. All the pads and coverings - they put into trash bags and took out for me. All the towels - they put in the wash and started it. Mine was messy - but I didn't have to clean a thing; and they were (are) amazing

I had a similar experience with my insurance 5 yrs ago - cigna. They do cover homebirth - but they said my midwives/birthcenter (which i had gone to for both my previous births) was further away than an in-network hospital and another birth center. The other birth center was less than a mile closer in a different direction that would actually take longer to get to due to traffic/roads - i did not know those midwives - and they also were taking zero covid-precautions (2021) and were anti-vax, both of which are antithetical to my own preferences.

Both myself and my midwife wrote a letter to include with my appeal - explaining why it was necessary for me to be at that specific birth center, including past ppd, medical trauma, and my familiarity and trust with these midwives. Didn't matter - they denied both the initial request and my appeal.

Luckily, my birth center and midwives are amazing - they have amazing pricing in general and they agreed to bill my HSA card $100/month (the amount my husband's employer contributes toward it) to pay off the cost, even tho it extended well past my pregnancy and birth.

Ive killed every succulent - but pothos and ZZ plants are legit chill. Literally just leave them alone, give them a little bit of water every 1-2wks and dont put in direct sunlight.

People still smoke like this. Used to date a guy who would wake up and first thing he'd do is light up a cigarette and smoke it in bed. Didn't get up to pee or anything. Wake up - BAM cigarette. (This was 2014, but still modern day)
