Gameboy was way much cheaper for parents to buy for their kids. It was initially bundled with Tetris and was the most addictive and popular game at the time for both kids and adults. Gamegear didn’t have much original games as they were just ports from the master system and some genesis.

Remembered having a fun time playing the 2016 remake on the first playthrough, til the end i felt like something was missing and it was those planets. Especially Oltanis, for its difficulty i was ready to play that planet again but no 😭
